The building is cool and houses lots of original architecture. If you get hot the air conditioning is great. This is a place where you can set up tours.

The best part of the visitor center is the free parking pass. Of course, there is no free parking at the visitor center so we recommend pulling up to the front door and having someone run in and get the pass. The free parking spots are directly in front of the capital and very convenient to most historical sites.

Once we located the offices, in an almost unmarked building behind a fortress like fence, with only 2 poorly marked parking places in the rear of the grounds behind the fence - Once we figured how to park and then enter the building we found the personnel nice, friendly and helpful - Note: if you do want to visit the... It's the "go to" place to start any visit. We found the people/place very warm, inviting and informative. Have already suggested friend/family go there.

We stopped in and spoke to a wonderful lady who gave us great advice and we chatted and had a good laugh, she was very funny and a real hoot! There are about 3 free parking spaces behind the building, seek them out. The center offers free parking for tourists in dedicated places in the city, they will offer this... More

Great resources available. Parking pass for the state capitol building. Allowed us to park right in front of the capitol.

Stop here before you visit the city. The people here were very informative about the city and made recommendations based on our interests. There are many travel brochures and a brief movie about the city's history and tourist attractions. It's very difficult to find a place to park as it appeared that all parking spaces are reserved. We called the... More

A great deal of information. Along the river front in downtown. Located in the railroad station. We got on city tour ride here.

The building itself is very interesting since it was a train station at one time. The location is also great, within walking distance of the river front area, with plenty of places to park close to the entrance. The place is very clean, the staff is very helpful, and informative. There is a gift shop to take in and a... More
