Although this is a small museum they have some fabulous art glass, paintings and sculpture...recently have hosted numerous exciting exhibits including Audobon prints, etchings by Durer, and the St. John's illuminated Bibile.

If you love the art of glass making you will adore this museum. They do have some very nice exhibits from time to time. Just for a day trip from out of town I would make sure I knew what was showing. It is not a very large place so make sure you like what they show.

Excellent variation in artists and mediums. There is something to see for every type of art lover. Do not miss the Apocalypse Horsemen, the lighting display makes this a very moving piece. I went for the Black History exhibit and was moved by several of the pieces, one of the best exhibits related to black artists.

The price was reasonsble. The art is amazing. Oils, sketches, photos, glass, abstract, classis, scenery. It was a rainy day this offered a great place to spend a couple of hours. The only think the city could do was be to clean up the lake that the museum overlooks. Other than that we really enjoyed the visit.

The Mobile Museum of Art is a very modern building set on a serene lake with ducks. They have a great variety of art in their collection. This is a great place to spend a Sunday afternoon with a date. There are walking trails and benches around the lake and places for picnics as well. Don't bring your camera into...
