I like to go here alone and just take in all the art. I envy those with such talent. This is a very neat place to stroll around and admire the talent. Make sure you allow at least two hours to really get to see and get info on everything

We were late arriving. They close at 5p on Saturday. We had 2 hours to spend. We chose to start with the permanent collections first. Then we went upstairs to see the special attraction about Mardi Gras. It was very interesting but I wish they'd had someone who could answer questions about the traditions behind the Mardis Gras customs. Overall,... More

Some great art. The art and design of Mardi Gras hall is great and you can learn a lot about the history of Mardi Gras in Mobile. If you have the time wait till Thursday because it is free!!!

Mobile is not NY, Paris or Rome, and the art here is not eye-popping. However, it is very well-presented, in a lovely facility, and gives an historical connection with the city. The staff are accommodating.

As a visitor of many museums of art over the years, I unfortunately was a little disappointed. First of all, the outside parking is not marked, one has to guess where to park by looking for parked vehicles. Once you pay, there is not a map of the museum available to guide you through the facility. I was told to... More

Really nice museum, with special Mardi Gras exhibits. We especially loved the room with MG costumes, but also enjoyed the entire rest of the museum. Taking advantage of free admission on Thursdays left us funds for a donation on the way out.

This is a very nice art museum featuring mostly modern art in the Springhill area of Mobile. Get off on Springhill which is exit 5 on 1-65 and it is about 2 to 2.5 miles down the road on the right. If you get to the black train engine you have gone to far, If you husband is a golfer... More

The current exhibition is about the art and design of Mardi Gras and its history. A delightful stroll thru film, artwork, and the royal attire of Mardi Gras monarchs. A treasured history of this timeless celebration. But even after this exhibition is gone it will be replaced with another that is well worth the time to stop by. A great... More

Artwork was presented and arranged very well. There was enough space for everyone to enjoy without being crowded. Main exhibit was about Mardi Gras, which covered all aspects of the history and local traditions of the surrounding areas of the Gulf Coast. Wished there had been more pictures of older parades and festivities.
