I thoroughly enjoyed this movie theater. Went here to see the Divergents. Although, I had been trying to go for over a year. You can get snacks and alcohol! It shows independent films. Great experience and different.

The Crescent Theater is Mobile's only independent movie house and offers the first run films seven days/nights a week. It's the only place in town to see some of the more artistic movies released. One of the most enjoyable aspects is the concession that features beer and wine...so continental! The proprietor, Max Morey, introduces every film with inside information and... More

Great little theater downtown. Lots of fun too with recliners in the front row if you get there early. Wine available for your enjoyment. They get some of the first run movies too. Nice way to spend some time in Downtown Mobile.

The Crescent is the best of Mobile's perpetual attempt to reinvent itself -- in the heart of downtown, instead of bulldozing an old theater they have resuscitated it. It has become a community theater featuring great films that may not make it into the surrounding shopping center in an intimate, warm setting that makes the experience a great deal more... More

Small venue that has a different vibe from any theatre I've been to. Beer sold in the lobby, chill vibe, unique movie experience.

We saw a very good movie but was more impressed with the theater itself. I have a movie theater by my house with 14 screens. This place has one and it was great. Good popcorn, soda. Nice audio and picture quality. The theater itself is nostalgic and wonderful.

Great location, very charming, good seating, inexpensive snacks. Support your local theatre by seeing a great movie here.

What a quaint theatre! Loved the intimate feeling and the screen and sound system was top notch! Loved the personal introduction and availability of beer and wine. Saw 'All is Lost' with Robert Redford. Would never had the opportunity if this theatre did not show it!

We went to see Muscle Shoals, got there about 15 minutes before the start not a lot of seating but my party split up and it was fine, so get there earlier. Instead of previews they had a duo singing to entertain us, it was very well done. Sound system was great. You can purchase wine, beer and popcorn!
