Kayak Rental

I found staff friendly. You have to get there early to rent a kayak. Kayak rental price seems to be pretty reasonable. A good place to bike.

sandy spot along the creek. primitive but it had a fire ring & grill. Walking trail in woods with a hand pump for ground water. pulled the boat up to the edge. could also walk to park entrance through woods if necessary. nice little store at park gate. price for camping was good. no bathrooms at site (but that is... Unless you want to swim in a red clay mud hole (we saw human feces in the water!) keep yourself and your kids away from here. The people who were there were crude, cursing, and nasty and there seemed to be no authority to monitor activity.

It was a very rainy day, but me and my hubby still have a nice picnic under one of the pavilions. This is a pretty little park.

We live in town and come over to swim and spend the day. Always clean and the staff is very nice and helpful. Perfect place for large groups who want to get together for the day.

First of all, they charged us $1 a person to enter (Even Gulf State Park, which I have also reviewed does not charge to enter). When we entered, the park did not have clear instructions on where to go. We walked around the disc golf area for so long before realizing what it was. The trails were not paved and... More

This park has a nice disc golf course… not just 18 holes, but I believe 27 (we played 18… they either have 27 or 36). Helpful staff, but a little off the beaten path.

I work in Saraland and I live in Mississippi and we had to work a month long turnaround at the plant I work at. Normally its an 80 mile round trip so I decided to bring my travel trailer to Chickasaboque since it was the cheapest park and was only 15 minutes from my work. People who work the park... More

This park was slightly difficult to remember its location. Once we found it, it was like visiting a childhood memory. The park has many features for a family. It is a campsite and has large recreation fields for baseball or soccer, some playground equipment at areas, and a great swimming area. Especially on a hot day, a cool creek hits... More

I tent-camped here for a night when passing thru town. The campsite was very nice and private - spacious, surrounded by trees, electricity and water at site, and nice clean bath houses. The only drawback - it's right by the interstate, so I heard traffic the entire time I was there. It didn't keep me awake, but it kept me... More
