Made it a point to attend mid-day mass there, what a blessing? This is not a church, but a real cathedral. The two wooden entrance doors must weigh a ton apeice. If you're in downtown Mobile and have a few minutes to spare, check out this beautiful cathedral. Gorgeous stained glass windows, beautiful ceiling, impressive pipe organ, and beautiful statues at the back of the cathedral.

I was visiting downtown mobile for the day and as I walked by outside this gorgeous building it sounded like angels singing inside. I had to go in. Pictures don't do it justice. It is amazingly beautiful and breathtaking inside. Must see.

The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is a lovely church. Church has a lot of history & is quite a piece of art. Recommend checking this out if you are in the downtown area. Perfect for anyone; religious/nonreligious or Catholic/nonCatholic.

The place is really nice, the Cathedral Square that is outside plus the inside are just great place to go. Then you can have some food and tea at the Spot of Tea just in front.

We enjoyed touring the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception during a 3 day visit to Mobile. Weekday Mass is 7:50 AM and 12:10 PM, and we toured the facility after the noon mass was over.
