This church is very nice and worth a stop to see it. The photos give you a good idea of what to expect, but being inside is a special treat.

It's free to look around. The ceilings are really impressive. Great stained glass windows, everything is "Immaculate".

We were in the area so stopped in to see this place. The stained glass is worth a visit and it is a nice stop, but not really what I expected. If you ever happen to be further west on I-10 around Schulenburg Texas, stop in the visitors center and ask for a map to the Painted Churches. These are... More

We toured the Cathedral on a Saturday afternoon. There were several people touring, and the church was open to everyone. The stained glass windows were unbelievably beautiful! If you enjoy touring churches and seeing religious themed artifacts, you should stop by for a visit. We were disappointed the gift shop is permanently closed, but a quick google search revealed another... More

The stained glass windows and their story of Christ's life are beautiful. The history is delightful and well worth the time to go for a visit. I wish we would have had time for the noon mass that is held each day.

On the first day of our visit to Mobile, after lunch my wife and I separated so that we each could do our own thing for a while in downtown Mobile, mostly on Dauphin Street. In addition to shops, it is an entertainment district. We were told that the place is quite lively starting after 10:00 pm. We probably will... More

We were staying on Dauphin Island and decided to drive into Mobile for the evening. We were really hoping to see the Cathedral and were so disappointed to find it closed on a Saturday (late afternoon/early evening). Even the exterior gates were locked. It seemed to be not in the best part of town, but surprised there was not a... More

It is a Roman catholic cathedral from early eighteenth century. Architecturally very interesting with many statues and ornamentation. The stained glass windows with various scenes from the religious denomination are very well done and preserved. A good place to spend some serene time.

We had planned to tour the Cathedral and happened to be in the area at noon. Although we are not Catholic, we decided to attend Mass. It was lovely.
