Love to visit churches to see the windows. Visited around noon, sun was beaming through the windows, perfectly illuminating them. Added to the sence of peace you feel when entering this lovely cathedral.

Gorgeous interior. We went early to see interior. Be sure and pick up one of the brochures on a table at the right rear with all the info and history. Came back for 12:10 Mass and am so glad we did! The building is transformed when the lights are turned on! The historic Bishop's House and Gift Shop must no... More

One of the oldest and very historic churches in the Siuth. Dates to the late 1700s, Underwent a restoration and is beautiful. You must go there, particularly if you are Catholic.

Mobile is one of the oldest cities in the country. The Cathedral is the center of the south Alabama diocese. It's marble and gold leaf accents are incredible. It is simply a BEAUTIFUL church. A Mobile must see even if you are not Catholic.

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon to admire this gorgeous Cathedral. It is, in a word, breathtaking! The high coffered barrel ceiling, gilded Corinthian columns, and stunning altar were beautiful, but the windows were absolutely stunning. In the early afternoon sun, the painted glass windows were luminous with the sun shining through. The priests were kind in checking in... More

We were wowed by the current excellent condition of the building and it's history. The story of where the beautiful windows were damaged in a storm and had to be dismantled pane by pane and shipped back to Europe for repair was amazing.

I didn't find out until later that we could have walked down the stairs in the cathedral so we kinda missed out on some of the Beauty of this place. I saw them as we walked by.. but we just didn't want to step out of bounds. When in a church it is important to be respectful at all times.... More

Beautiful cathedral! A must visit when traveling in Mobile, Al. Even if you are not Catholic you can appreciate the architecture and beauty of this church. It is said that a city that has a cathedral will never have a direct hit from a major hurricane. I don't know if this is true since we have had several but none... More

The Cathedral is gorgeous. The paintings are beautiful as is the tiling and statues. The coolest part for the kids was going down to the burial rooms under the Catheral. A pretty quick stop but worth it.
