It might be from the excessive rains of recent days, but the rivers were carrying a lot of soil in them. Thus the bay looked like a muddy mess. There's no comparison to Pensacola or east of there. I feel for the people that live down there. Maybe it get's better, but I wouldn't plan a fishing or vacation trip... More

One South Alabama's finest outdoor destinations. Inshore fishing, great bass fishing further north in the delta, duck hunting is great. Get a guide if your not familiar with the area.

It took us almost an hour to find this location and still wondering if this is the place I read and told about. I was looking at the water but did not see the torqouise color as one of the reviewer had mentioned. I see however a murky water with debris and broken tree branches floating on the water. I... More

Mobile Bay is beautiful because of the beautiful Gulf Waters. So much different from the Atlantic Ocean - for it's calmness and beautiful turquoise color.

We walked the downtown, checked out the hotels, convention center and attractions. The city seems like a little gem with lots to see and do, and all within easy walking distance of downtown. Be sure to check out the Catholic Church downtown for an incredible barrel-vault ceiling.

Mobile Bay is famous for it's great dining and seafood. It is also known for the bay cruises that you might take. You can even leave the bay on a cruise ship. A drive across the bay at night is priceless. if you are fortunate you might catch a Jubilee. We did. We were pulling in shrimp in a net... More

Mobile Bay is not anything to write home about. It is a very industry oriented bay. I saw no recreational boating on it during my five days in Mobile. I did not find it to be very attractive.

Water at various stages in the cycle of an estuary, so many variations like low and high tide, the bird wildlife, plus other types if you get out into the water, etc.
