Being that I am a product of the deep south, I relaxed and just let the graciousness of the city of Mobile envelop me in its aura. The people of the Mobile Bay Area made our USS TRITON Reunion Group feel respected and honored during our visit.

Cops were horrible and wanted to be the star if the shows. Seemed as though that they have the ability to arrest anyone, breaking a law or not. I was sober and a alcohol was served and people buying and enjoying were randomly arrested. Horrible, could not enjoy the entertainment for people being arrested for nothing. Won't go again.

We took our boat and traveled out on Mobile Bay. We saw lots of sights and the homes on the water are so gorgeous. We rented a boat slip at the Grand Hotel Marina and each day we would go for a ride in the bay.

It not only beautiful to see, we had a great lunch at a bayside park, but it is incredibly to take one of the tours and go out on the water

Mobile bay was once one if the most productive and beautiful bays in America. She actually had 10-15 foot visibility because the monster oyster reefs filtered the silty brown water so efficiently. Those days are long gone but it is still a great bay for fishing sailing and sight seeing . The water is brown as the silt and flow... More

Best way to see Dauphin Island is by canoe I do believe. We spent a week here and set out just about everyday for a trek in the canoe. Beautiful and smooth water, landscapes that are breathtaking, and tons of aquatic life to see. My husband grumbled at first about bring our canoe from North Carolina but after one outing... More

Beautiful area, amazing sunshine...food is everywhere and affordably priced. And the people are the friendliest of anywhere I've been. This is the place to visit, believe me!

Fair Hope is a wonderful town in the eastern side of Mobile Bay. It regularly lands on top 10 retirement destinations and you'll see why. There are also beaches and a fabulous Marriott at Point Clear with beautiful grounds you can hang out on (literally) on hammocks if you tell the fella at the front you are planning to meet... More

It might be from the excessive rains of recent days, but the rivers were carrying a lot of soil in them. Thus the bay looked like a muddy mess. There's no comparison to Pensacola or east of there. I feel for the people that live down there. Maybe it get's better, but I wouldn't plan a fishing or vacation trip... More
