I would say this is a must visit if your are in Mobile or passing through. They have a ton of exhibits throughout the site. They have the USS Alabama battleship, they have the submarine USS Drum, and the flight hangar featuring all kinds of awesome aircraft (F-14, SR-71, F-16 and many more). The kids got in free. You could... More

This was amazing. It is a must do. Will go back with our children. One of the volunteers Owen is very friendly and knowledgeable. Get coupon from welcome center in Alabama.

It was great to experience the reality of being on and in a real battleship! It really made me appreciate what those men went through who served and fought on the USS Alabama. Tour also includes war planes, fighter planes, and a WWII submarine. Highly recommend.

It's an eye opening experience for a civilian to climb aboard a battleship and a submarine. Slightly challenging when navigating the battleship with the steeps stairs and tight spaces connecting the different level decks.

This is living history and is well kept up and very interesting for all age groups. Climbing up and down the ladders is a little challenging but well worth it if you are able.

We stopped to view the battleship on our way to Florida. We figured a couple hours was plenty of time, but it wasn't. I was amazed at how much of the boat we were allowed to tour! It is an amazing piece of history, just give yourself enough time to tour it.

We are not big history buffs, but we really enjoyed roaming around the ship and seeing the cool airplanes up close. I personally felt much more appreciation for my father-in-law's service as a cook on a ship in the Pacific during WWII. What most amazed my husband and me was the size of this thing! It didn't feel that big... More

We visited the Alabama while we were in Gulf Shores for a few days. We had a blast exploring all the levels of the ship. Took us a little over 2 hours to go through. Be prepared to walk a lot and climb lots of stairs. Also take the time to go through the aircraft pavilion and the submarine. I... More

We sort of stumbled upon this attraction as we drove along the gulf coast on our way back from New Orleans. I had been to the USS Wisconson in Virginia Beach a couple of years ago, so when I saw the signs for the USS Alabama, I had to go. If you are a military history / WWII fan, this... More
