This was amazing to see the Battleship USS ALABAMA and to be able to walk thru it and ascend to the top of the mask and look our over the bay. You could almost feel the enemy planes starting their decent to attack and wanting to mount one of the many gunners torrents to defend this majestic ship. We were... More

Ok,so since I have been traveling Ive always passed the battleship I was always curious as to what exactly is it. Well I went for my birthday. It was a great learning experience. The living quarters for those marines were tight. I gained a whole new aspect and respect for them.It was a lot of walking and not enough space... More

This was a great bit of history to witness and explore. Must see if your in the Mobile area. Wear good shoes as the stairs are difficult in flip flops. It is also very windy so dresses aren't ideal.

My husband and I visited The Battleship Alabama on the way to Destin. Unfortunately we only had a few hours to spend, not realizing we should have allowed at least double that to take in all the sights. Once we got there, we focused on the battleship itself. The self guided tours are informative and easy to follow. Most of... More

The USS Alabama exhibit includes considerably more than just the ship. It is one of the best I have visited with armored vehicles, aircraft, including a B-52 and a C-47, and I particularly appreciated the Korean and Vietnam war memorials. Definitely worth a visit for vets and military history buffs.

We have lived in Montgomery, Alabama for 7 years and this was the first time to the USS Alabama. We had such a great time walking around the ship. It was cool to see how the men lived aboard the ship. If you go to see it, you will not be disappointed.

Years ago we went on the tour of the battleship and sub and enjoyed it very much. On this vacation, we didn't have time for a full tour, so we paid $2 for parking and walked around the grounds. It was interesting to see the airplanes, tanks, and of course a view of the Battleship USS Alabama. Well worth our... More

I've lived in Mobile for close to 30 years and had not been until recently. It's a MUST SEE and is full of so much history! Spring and Fall are GREAT times to go, as it's not so hot. Pick a beautiful day and GO!

We had wanted to visit the USS Alabama for several years and finally made it happen. My husband was in the navy on a carrier and this meant the world to him to tour this ship.
