At Mobile’s Battleship Memorial Park, you don’t have to look very far to find heroes. From the Battleship USS ALABAMA to the Submarine USS DRUM and over 25 aircraft, the spirit of military pride is alive and well.Aboard the battleship you will be able to explore 12 decks. Among those, you can climb inside gun turrets, get locked in the Brig, man a 12mm gun and much more. Also at the park, you will be able to go below and explore inside the oldest Submarine on display, Submarine USS DRUM. In the Medal of Honor Aircraft Pavilion as well as in the park, you will be able to view many rare and historic aircraft. A few in our collection include: A-12 Blackbird Spy Plane, OS2U Kingfisher, F-86L Sabre Jet, B-52 Bomber, just to name a few. While in the pavilion, don’t forget to take a ride on the Flight Simulator and experience flight without ever leaving the ground. It’s an unforgettable experience for the entire family. All tours are self guided. Allow approx. 2.5 hours.

Great hands on self guided tour of USS Alabama and many other airplanes and a submarine. Only ideal for when weather is dry!! Submarine tour is for those who are physically able to go up/down steep stairs, and strategically go through circle doorways (harder for taller people). All displays well kept and very interesting. Great view of Mobile from the... More

This ship has been so well maintained and set up that you really can see what life was like on the ship. Be prepared to go up and down ladders and stairs and through small doors. A few extras at the park are a movie, indoor museum with old aircraft and dioramas, a submarine you can walk through, a few... More

It's worth every penny it cost to tour the ship and see the where the sailors worked and fought to defend our country. The other exhibits on site are great as well.

We have toured a couple battleships. I believe they let you get in more areas of the ship here. It is a self guided tour so you can go at your own pace.

I'm not much into military history but I enjoyed our tour of the Alabama and the submarine. It gave me an appreciation for the technological marvel of a battleship and a submarine which were used in the 1940s.

We live here and take for granted this wonderful piece of history that we drive by everyday! We took my daughter and her friends (3 of which had never been to the Battleship). We had a great time and they enjoyed it more than expected. The self guided tour is well organized and easy to follow!! Great way to spend... More

At first sight, the Battleship USS Alabama will take your breath away! It is massive and awe inspiring. The cost for seniors is $13 and it is well worth it. Once on the battleship there are 3 different self-guided tours you can take. Two take you into the bowels of the ship and one allows you pretty much free access... More

This was a great self guided tour. We not only toured the battleship but also the submarine and some aircrafts. Very clean and the signage was informative and the arrows kept us on track. Similar to our trip to tour the Lexington in Corpus.

What a great day of an amazing piece of U.S. history right in Mobile. You could definitely spend all day long touring the ship and then the submarine and airplanes too. I didn't go on the submarine, a little to claustrophobic for me! You can roam at your leisure which we all loved. The tour is pretty easy to follow... More
