The Battleship is very interesting. I was overwhelmed at the extent of the tours, much more detail than I thought. Spend as much time on the Battleship but save energy for the Submarine and the static aircraft display. I had never seen a B-52 before.

Visited the Battleship Alabama and spend about 2 hours taking the self-guided tour. If we had gone up to the top level, it would have taken more time. Admission is $15.00 for ages 12 and up, and $13 for seniors or AAA members. Retired and activity duty military are free. Also, there is a $2.00 entrance fee for parking which... More

I had a question about reciprocal museum memberships and wrote before we attended. The owner replied right away and he was very informative, nice, and friendly. We visited on a cold day. Things were very cold to the touch and it was windy at the top so it wasn't as enjoyable up there as it might have been if the... More

We had a good time looking around the battleship. It was lots of fun. It gives you an idea of how the men in the navy operated the battleship and where they slept during war times.

I was blown away by this exhibit. The B25 out front is simply awesome. The tour of the Battleship is a self guided tour. Read the handout and follow the instructions, which are absolutely terrible. Because of repainting in progress, I got lost many times as there were no arrows or numbers to follow per the instructions, but in spite... More

Very interesting to be able to see the battleship and tour the whole of it. It is very well organised with 3 different routes and written information to enhance details.

Often when you go to historical sites like this you are left wondering what things were/are and what their purpose was/is. Not the case here - everything was very well labeled. There are three different tours through the different parts of the ship and they are very well marked so you can see exactly where you are to go next.... More

There was so much to see. Plan on spending at least 2 hours there, and you could easily spend 4 hours.

Free to walk around the ship. It put me in awe of the power contained in one battleship. I never had a reference for just how big battleships were until I was on this one.

the battleship itself has a huge array of exhibits that endeavour to educate the viewer as to how life on this ship would have been as well as showing what the ship achieved. The hanger display had a wide range of aircraft and there was also quite a number of military craft out in the open. Unfortunately we had insufficient... More
