Beer Fest was great.

To see all sorts of people milling around with their plastic mugs standing in lines to taste another brew was amazing and yet everyone had a very good time. The best time people watching I have had in a long time. The mounted Police blocking an intersection was impressive as was seeing people drinking having fun and still respecting the... More

On Saturday night, this is a sort of Bourbon Street-lite. Great restaurants and a great place to people watch!

Dauphin Street has always been a hip place to eat, shop, and people watch. It kind of reminds me of Frenchman Street in New Orleans or Little Five Points in Atlanta. One would never guess that this stretch of street downtown would be in the middle of a very conservative city, so this is literally an oasis. However, since I... More

This street has changed so much. Huge art movement. Wonderful place to grab a drink and walk around downtown. Small beautiful movie theater where you can have a drink and watch a movie. Excellent food everywhere you turn. Really proud of Mobile for this progress

Check out Three George's for homemade candies and have a milk shake. Then get some fresh roasted peanuts nearby at a place that has been roasting peanuts since 1947 at A&M Peanut Shop

It is an area with bars, shops, galleries, restaurants intermingled with many vacant buildings. It is not an area I would feel comfortable walking any great distance at night. We sometimes attend LODA Art Walk and enjoy that because there is alot of foot traffic at night as we walk to and from our hotel. The area has possibilities for... More

Lots of night life for the younger crowd, with enough character to interest the casual traveler. The buildings and balconies remind me of New Orleans. Many great places to eat.

Stayed at Riverview Plaza and walked Dauphin street several times while there. So much to see and shop. What I did notice that many of the popular restaurants were open for lunch and busy but as I came back through for supper around 6-7pm they were closed. I was surprised to see them closed for the night and losing business... More
