Great for Bar hopping

Went out and everyone was super friendly and nice. We hoped around to quite a bit of bars and were easily entertained.

Dauphin Street is full of restaurants, bars, and adorable shops. My husband and I always love going during the Art Walk and adventuring around. Is it bourbon street? No. But its not supposed to be. It captures the spirit of Mobile and will inspire you to venture out through the downtown area. You can usually hear/see live music being played... More

Come on it's a rather tired shopping street. Sort of a poor mans imitation of New Orleans. No really interesting shops. Some interesting architecture.

Great downtown that is really fun place to hang out and walk around. Lot of great restaurants and the city does a lot of fun events to bring people into the area. We love the farmers market on Saturday mornings.

This historical neighborhood is a great walk on a sunny afternoon. It is full of tiny galleries, funky shops, and bars/restaurants. On weekend nights, it's probably a lot like the French Quarter.

We went to Mobile to spend a few days to relax and check out downtown. This area was ok, but more needs to be added to area in order for people to come. There were some good restaurants but that was about it.

A long neclected area the historic area of downtown is slowly coming back. Several good restaurants and watering holes. Not much going on during the day but a fun place in the evenings

They need a real live entertainment district that is appealing to all lifestyles. One thing I noticed about Downtown Mobile is that its not appealing entertainment wise.

I love to go downtown when I do not have to drive! And there is some kind of event going on. Dauphin St is coming back to slow. I notice business go in & out very fast. I like to see less homeless people when I am walking around.

We read that this street had many cute little shops but I didn't find anything interesting. There were a few good restaurants though.
