A great spot to start your walk around the Old Town sites. The fountain is well preserved and set in pretty gardens. Go early or late for a photo as very crowded during the day.

Worth a short visit for a few minutes to see the Fountain in memory of Queen Victoria and well preserved just off the town square

Beautiful fountain if you can see at night with the fountain on. and if the place is not too crowded. But be careful with the wild birds...

This is the busiest and most crowded part of the Dutch Square because of tourist having their photos taken beside Queen Victoria's Fountain! With the large crowd always hanging around to take photos, its so hard to take perfect photos without photo bombers lurking around! You have to be patient and wait for your turn and perfect time to capture... More

Crowded during public holiday and hard to take photos. If the sun is out during afternoon you should be able to take a good photo facing towards the road. The bus 17 from Melaka Sentral stops here.

There are too crowded around the fountain. It is hard to take a photo without other people photobombing. They usually sit around the fountain.

This fountain is in the vicinity of the Stadthuys so no need for any transport. You can easily walk here, buying souvenirs along the way. A great place for the photo op!

To get to this marvellous location from Melaka main bus stand ask for buses that go to the main post office. The buses are blue coloured non-AC .Ofcourse the most famous church is here but you know there are heaps of Taxi touts who will misguide and mislead you to over charge you. Also if you are coming by bus ask... More

An interesting fountain and surrounding square. Very well preserved/restored. Nice landscaping and impressive surrounding buildings. But the rickshaws...they completely ruin the atmosphere. These pimped-up trishaws blasting some type of pop music have got to go. Personally, I think their presence is tacky and not keeping with any sense of Melaka's rich history. Rickshaws are fine, just not their cartoon-like counterparts... More
