WAs on this cruise more than ten years ago which we enjoyed as it was a cruise through old town Malacca and we could see how people by the river lived. Now, its all modern and touristy and theres really little to sing about.

A river cruise along Malacca River showing the traditional homes and shops and homes of Malacca' past. The 30 minutes ride moves along the now converted homes with murals drawn on their walls as cafes and hotels. Against the background one can view the tall modern buildings. However, the smell of the river water may not be pleasing to some... More

A pleasant way to spend some time on a hot and sticky day however there was no audio. When this issue was addressed it was too late as we then were headed back up river and the commentary was coming from the other way so had to think of places we had already passed. The sad thing is that the... More

My husband and I together with another couple took the Melaka river cruise in the afternoon on 3/6/2015 during our short stay at Swiss Garden Hotel. We were very pleased with the river cruise as the boat ride was gentle and the historical information provided by the boatman was clear. We got to see the rich history of Malacca from... More

Walk down memory lane in historic malacca, stroll by the river at night, avoid the cliched river cruise in the cramped tourist trap speed boats just walk by ur self along the river,, enjoy the light and the cooling breeze and stop at the many cafes that dot the esplanade for a drink or a snack,..it's far less polluted these... If you have not taken river cruise, you have not seen Malacca. 45 minutes boat ride is worth your time. The fee is reasonable too.

Worth taking an evening ride up the meandering river through Kampong Morten, after dinner. There are lots of history to be learned why Melaka became so famous an entreport. The river walk has certainly improved the image of the town.

The Melaka river is more of a large canal rather than a river. Frankly did not see the point of the boat ride in a dirty and small canal with just building to look at on both sides.

Value for money and my kids enjoy the river cruise. Only the photograph a bit expensive. Will recommended friends to go.
