The riverside is well lit and paved nicely from Kota laksamana all the way down to the bridge at the rivercruise jetty at Jln Tun sri Lanang. If you like walking and don't like the hot sun, I suggest a slow walk from either end of the river to take in the lights, the century old buidlings, the murals and... More

I already noted that the boarding site for the Melaka River Cruise is just beside the Maritime Museum, fronting the Casa del Rio Hotel. After a short tour inside the Flor de la Mar, I headed to the boarding site right away. The river cruising cost me MYR15 and the whole ride took 40 minutes of our time – a... More

Do take the cruise at night as the lights are enchanting and not too warm at night. If tide is too low, you might not have the opportunity to ride

Nice ambience along the river but not spectacular. There's a stench along some parts of the river. Boat ride costs RM15.

Travel along this river 4.5km from spice garden towards sea. this is not a big river. Width may be around 15-20m. But when you travel along the river lots of historical sites can be seen

Sit along the many small pubs that can be found along the river and enjoy a relaxed evening watching the small boats go by.

The last time we were in Melaka was more than 6 years ago. But this time, we decided to take the river cruise. Money well spent. The river cruise went through numerous nearby but yet contrasting areas. Starts from the tourist center, through the cafes lining up the river banks with numerous mural and street arts painted on the rows... More

Sounded like a mirror to the West but great man in the past had said that and it was recoarded in books. The timeline of Melaka is actually constructed along the river, the local folks named it, "Sungai Melaka, Warisan Kita". You are recommended to take the cruise now at 45 minutes and soon it is going to be an... More
