It's nice way to pass some time. Oldest of 4 loved it. For me it was not that spectacular. But the entrance fee was not that high so I was not bothered. We went by day. Probably nice to do it at night time.

Try going at night with beautiful lamps over the river. The river is not too clean. But the most interesting thing is you can see the calm side of Malaka with many oldish beautiful building and cafe. very relaxing.

Winding its way a fair way up the Malacca River, the cruise is a fantastic way to experience a different side of Malacca. All along the river, many of the buildings have been repainted with frescos from Malaccas past or demonstrating key cultural elements of the city and it is well worth doing just to see them! My family and... More

Really well cleaned up and scenic now. Casa Del Rio, across the bridge is quite a nice spot to relax and take it in. Limited parking on weekends and holidays. Need to get scratch-off parking tickets from nearby shops so bring small change. Go early or during weekdays if possible and watch out for Malacca public holidays as most shops... More

I'm told evening is the best time for the river cruise, when all the lights are on, but late afternoon was good, too. After walking in the heat , the cruise under a canopy on a cool river was very calming. Chugging upriver, the recorded commentary was mostly in Malay, with English featured on the return journey. A feature for... More

See Malacca from the river. It's a whole different perspective from the roads and the best part is there's no traffic and you don't have to walk. A river cruise is a definite must do when you are in Malacca.

Great to try this river cruise in Melaka especially at night. We can see beautiful night view along the river for Malay village ( kampong Moten ) and very old building near red house. There are few pubs and nice restaurant along the river. It's value for money to experience river cruise and the kids will like it.
