Place: Malacca, dubbed "The Historic State", is a state in Malaysia and located in the southern region of the Malay Peninsula, next to the Straits of Malacca. It borders Negeri Sembilan to the north and Johor to the south. The capital is Malacca City, which is 148 kilometres (92 miles) south east of Malaysia's capital city Kuala Lumpur, 235 kilometres... With a reasonable entry price this museum is well worth a look, it has a wonderful display of ceramics, as well some excellent static displays to different Malacca life.

To be able to truly appreciate its beauty and worth, research on Malacca's history beforehand, because if not, you will miss the point of travelling to a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tip before the trip: Read beforehand On the trip itself: Wear a sunblock/ hat or bring an umbrella because the heat of the sun is really scorching and you... More

So many tourists came from all over the world. Even though it is not as cool as European or any other cold climate country, Malacca still have a lot of tourists came to see the historical places here.

Walking out through this heritage area, is definitely requires a lot of energy. But it is worth. Spare a day or two to enjoy every bit of it, because it's quite a big place. You can visit a lot of museums, heritage, shops, even shops and restaurants. Pay attention to your children, since there's a lot of trishaws ride going... More

This museum is not to be confused with the heritage area described in most reviews under this title / the baba nyonya museum. We chanced upon this museum while exploring Jonker St and it was a priceless find. The museum is a private ancestral home owned by Mr Charles Chua, an architect by training. We were extremely privileged because Mr... More

Walking around Malacca heritage centre is walking through a living museum. Many old buildings and cultural practices have been retained for the modern Malaysians who wants to delve into the rich past of its origins. Century-old cuisines of the Straits born Chinese have also been kept alive to the delight of foodies.

This is one attraction in Melaka that failed to impress me. That statue which looks so huge in the pictures in just due to the angle of pictures. The place is accessible only after a climb of stairs so it isn't suitable for people with mobility issues. The place is obviously in ruins and I have seen better ruins than... More

I'm amazed at the sturdiness of the building considering the Portuguese built in centuries ago. But it's the only part left. It's a short trip, but if you have a nice imagination, you can imagine what it's like living in the fort at the time. This place is situated at the top of the hill, so, bring your stamina with... Being in this area is treading in histories path. The buildings have been maintained & a area one should not miss in Malaysia. It brings back the nostalgia of the Colonial era.
