Candolim beach is around 4 kms from Baga and 2 kms from Calangute beach. Tourists who prefer to be away from the over crowded Baga and Calangute beaches can head to Candolim. The beach is clean compared to the other beaches in North Goa. The water sports are very cheap as we had done the same in Thailand. Para sailing was again a good experience with the Goan guys.

A good number of beach shacks with a wide variety of food available , most shacks have good music with some live performances , don't miss Calamari.

we went there after South goa and hence found the beach too crowded. The shacks were plastered almost end to end and when we went the sea was at a stage where there was only a narrow strip of beach between the sea and the shacks which would be crowded. If you go in the evening you could see the fishermen... More

I visited Baga and Calangute in North Goa, those are good beaches with lot of water sports but relatively dirty. On the other hand, Candolim beach was less crowded, relatively clean. But it lacks water sports activities.

One of the best beaches we visited in our stay at Goa. The water was light green and the sand was almost white. The water was very rough and fun to play with but could get dangerous had we not known how to swim, or gone in too deep. At the shallow end though we got battered by the waves... More
