This looked good when I visited first in 2004. Since then I have had a chance to visit many others and believe this one is average but highly popular because it's goa. Travel along the fort boundary, walk till the light house have a good look at the sea. Must watch if it's your first visit to goa

Expansive and beautiful views all round, the Aguada Fort and Lighthouse premises made for a great afternoon walk in the rains.

The only downside to this beautiful lighthouse was that it was not open (there was a sign on the door stating closed by the chief of police). It has been well maintained/restored and is clean and completely intact. Not sure how good of a lighthouse it was as it is a bit away from the coast and is inside the... More

Has a very beautiful scenic view. You can see the Agauda Jail which is one of the oldest. The Sea looks so beautiful when you look at it from up here. Best Place for Photographers and scenery lovers.

Fort Aquada Lighthouse is the oldest place in Goa, from the time when the movie "Ek Dule Ke Liye" was released. Now they have built a new light house by the side of old fort, but the fort is still there and one can visit inside the fort and have a nice and beautiful view of the sea from the... More

The lighthouse at Fort Aguada was built in 1864. It is a wide based, stocky looking lighthouse. In it's early days it used an oil lamp flame to emit light. The lighthouse was modernized in the 1970s. Along the walkway on top, just outside the glass windows is a pretty metal railing. For years the huge bell from the ruins... More

The drive from Panjim, through Betim along the Mandovi river is just fantastic. At a point the Mandovi merges into the Arabian sea and the winding road rises to Fort Aquada, an ancient Fort & Prison built by the Portuguese. The view of the Arabian Sea, Dona Paula, Miramar & Lights of Panjim city on a clear day is just... More
