I have been visiting and staying at Monte Sano SP for a few years now. I have stayed in the cabins a couple times. Just awesome. I am a trail runner and these are some of the best running trails in the world. Well marked and amazing views at every turn. The cabins are all situated on the edge of... More

We love coming here for walks after a big Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. Nice to bring family here for hikes and picnics.

Gorgeous trees, quiet, deer, many facilities, & close to Huntsville. Don't follow GPS or on-star directions. They take you up hair pin turns which don't work for 5th wheels or motor coaches. Come in on hwy 431 (Governors Dr) to Monte Sano to Nolen.

This park's trails are great and clean. The view and history are incredible to see. The campground is very clean and family friendly. The trails are great for biking. The museum and the activities for families are very nice.

29' travel trailer. This is a beautiful park. The day use area and playground is one of the best I have ever seen. The park was a little littered though. We will be back to camp again!

We have visited this park often and always enjoy it. Whether it is the Art Stroll in the fall, visiting the Von Braun Astronomical Observatory, or hiking/biking. It is a well maintained park. Today, we tried biking for the first time on the Bucca Trail and it was great. The trail was well marked and laid out really well. We... More

Beautiful scenery and miles of trails to walk and spend hours exploring. They also have nice bathroom and picnic facilities as well as a playground.

Camped at the park, nice and peaceful arrived on Monday around 1 pm got the last full hook up site. They don't reserve full hookup sites so get here early. Park needs some updating but don't let that stop you from visiting. A wonderful park to relax in.

This is our second time to stay at this campsite. We have really enjoyed being able to sit outside, have a fire and cook outside. The camp sites are a nice size. We had a good picnic area with a picnic table. There is just enough woods around that you have privacy. Some of the roads are paved so you... More
