We arrived & it was raining, but decided to bike anyways. Great trails. There was a good mix of easy and difficult. Beautiful scenic mountain views. My favorite trial was North Plateau, single track and steep dropoffs to one side. The trails are marked & it is easy to find your way.

Here is another great location for your entire family. Ages 8 to 80 will enjoy "as we called it The mountain. Take a picnic lunch, soft drinks, camera and kids. Hike there trails, stay in a cabin and enjoy them fresh mountain air. And at night you have a picture of Huntsville and then Tennessee Valley that you shall never... More

No matter how you like to hike, you can hike on Monte Sano as a beginner or advanced hiker. You can also take your bike or have a family reunion up there. It offers outstanding views of Huntsville and the nature is beautiful as always.

The bike trail we took was great! We were not expecting to pay to get into the park though. You do not have to pay to enter state parks in Tennessee - maybe Alabama charges at its state parks to pay for Nick Saban's enormous salary. The park attendant could have been much friendlier and helpful. Over all we did... More

It was a nice surprise to find this park, I was in town for a few weeks and found this park to have a wide variety of trails. Some trails are more difficult but only in spots the majority of the trails are good for hiking, biking and cross country running. The trails are well marked by consistent tree markings... More

I love this park, but visitors should note that this isn't one of those resort styled parks. It has its own particular charm and natural beauty, and definitely isn't your golf, tennis, resort destination. The park has a lodge, strangely enough, that isn't available to the public, but rather serves as more of a wedding chapel than anything else. The... More

The park was close, had a great overlook of the area, clean, quiet and lots of hiking trails. I spent 2 days there hiking and enjoying the scenery. Lot of picnic places as well as a playground for the kids.

Spent wonderful morning hiking on well maintained trail at Monte Sano. Wildflowers were in bloom and the weather was perfect.
