This science center is extremely good. It gives children/adults the opportunity to be hands on, which gives a much greater understanding of science. This could, hopefully, point young folks in the direction of science, which would help us all in the future.

My 4 and 6 year-old needed a break from the road on a road trip from NJ to Memphis. We saw this as a possibility and we're very glad we stopped. The displays were fun and the boys had a great time with the water table and the grossology section. We spent nearly 2 hours playing and learning.

We have museum passes and try to check out reciprocal museums when traveling. So we have seen some top notch museums and have high expectations. This place was not what I was expecting, but given that we did not pay to get in because of our pass and putting it in scale of a smaller city it is a quality... More

My 8 year old daughter had so much fun here. Each experiment has a a nice description from what to do to why the final outcome. A school group showed up and it did get too busy for her to get on the different tables. Luckily we had half done before this occurred. I would go back with her if... More

There were a bunch of us visiting on the Smithsonian Free-Museum Day. We brought 5 kids ages 5 and under and they were all entertained for over three hours. Our rambunctious toddler boys had lots to do to keep them engaged and using their energy in a productive manner. Definitely a place for lots of family fun and education!

My son and I were excited to see that sci-quest had reopened. our biggest gripe about the old location was the amount of broken, non-functioning equipment. This has not changed and it is somewhat humorous when your six year old asks "Why is all their stuff still jacked up?". Little does he know that most of these items have been... More

Thank you for the review. I am very sorry you did not enjoy your last visit. We are aware that some of our older exhibits need more care after being handled by children each day. If an exhibit does seem to be broken or not working properly, please let the front desk staff know immediately so we can get it... More

Sci-Quest was the perfect place for 5 kids. The open space allowed for the kids to roam and explore on their own. Our kids range from age 11 down to 2. Everyone found something of interest. We opened the place at 9 and packed a lunch. While eating we played mind puzzles that were left on the table. We left... More

I took my nephew to Sci-Quest to see what it was all about. We had the best times ever. He's 6 years old and he had a blast trying out all the different things. We stayed over 2 hours having fun. Highly recommend it.

4th if July 2014 we finally visited after living here for almost a year. We thought this place was for toddlers so we didn't invest the time or money for our Tweens until they gave free admission to military on Independence Day. 1st off, thanks. 2nd, amazing time. I'm actually still here writing this review while my kids continue to... More

For little hands that like to explore, Sci-Quest is a good experience. There is plenty of space to run between the exhibits and try new things while learning some basic scientific principles. Our family had fun, but I think Sci-Quest could be so much more with a little funding and effort. The staff were welcoming and it was clear they... More
