This was very close to the US Space and Rocket museum so we stopped in. I called first and explained that my husband had difficulty walking as he had a stroke. No problem they said we have a shuttle and scheduled us for noon. The tickets were only twelve dollars a person and well worth it. Our guide picked us... More

My boyfriend and I went and just loved it. It was the last week of September and there were I think 3 weddings be set up (beautiful) although I wouldn't have chosen that time of year due to the Halloween decorations (which were great). The children's garden was the only area that seemed let go :(. I would go again!!

The gardens are set up to be educational and kid friendly. Pathways are clearly marked and easily navigated. They are doing construction right now, but they have set it up so that you can still access most of the garden without to much construction noise. There are many areas that would be intriguing to children and they have many different... More

I liked how the garden was set up it was done very nicely, but the place I loved the best was the butterfly house, you get to see all the different kinds flying around it was wonderful, there was also a little waterfall with turtles in there ( the kids would love that). what I also loved is how caring... The Botanical Garden has 90 acres of varied gardens. When I visited the scarecrow exhibit had just started. A must see is the Purdy Butterfly House, I have never seen so many butterflies on exhibit in one place before. They were all over the place. The garden, waterfall and trail were exceptionally well done for an exhibit like this. I... More

The gardens are so well kept and it's very near the airport so you or your guests can stretch their legs after a cramped flight. They have wonderful blooms all year but it's super in the spring. The scare crow competition brings out a lot of clever ideas from the community and the holiday lights are beautiful. Top is off... More

Explored the beautiful grounds of the gardens. It was a good hike, we could've walked for many more miles but our feet were tired. Loved the hammocks amid the shady trees. Ah, peace! My 6 year old loved the Alice and Wonderland spots that correlated with the story. It may be a seasonal exhibit. Nice place to go when it's... More

This is about the only outdoor place my kids love during the summer heat. There are splash ponds to keep cool in, fish to feed, and the butterfly garden to help keep cool. And so many beautiful places to play and run around. This is my favorite place to take the kids in Huntsville. If you're lucky, there are free... More

Highly recommend for children and/or grandchildren. Need a day the kids will be totally thrilled - have fun - and wear down for bedtime??? This is it. Our granddaughter loved this place. She enjoyed the activity time - loved the butterfly house (still talks about the turtles and butterflies). Had a picnic off to ourselves. The water features were definitely... More
