This place is huge & absolutely gorgeous. Better way sturdy walking shoes because there's a ton of ground to cover & you don't want to miss a speck of it. The Alice in Wonderland theme was adorable, including the kitschy plastic pink flamingos. The butterfly enclosure was breathtaking & the metal art on one of the wooded walking paths was... More

Take some friends and enjoy this great place with your kids! We went on a July day that just happened to be 80 degrees with no humidity and stayed for 5 hours! Kids never got bored and didn't even get to play on everything. The setup with water being here and there for the kids to play in and cool... More

If you have a membership to a botanical garden chances are they have a reciprocal agreement with other gardens, which brought us to Huntsville's Garden. There are paved paths and many different flowering areas and for a limited time there is a charming exhibit dedicated to Alice in Wonderland that displays the talents of local artists in most unique ways.... We spent an afternoon HBG while in Huntsville and my family really enjoyed it. A beautiful place to walk through and my kids enjoyed the Alice in Wonderland theme they had while we were there. Located close to the US Space and Rocket Center, it's a good stop while visiting Huntsville. Only drawback is it can be a bit pricey... More

This is a place is go if a exhibit I wanted to see was there. Or if I wanted to take a walk somewhere else then my block. I would also come every month or so to see the beauty of nature!! But I wouldn't go here everyday unless I absolutely love nature and feed the birds. For people older... More

The HBG is a mature, 100+ acre botanical garden boasting a Children's Garden with 9 themed sub-gardens and the Purdy Butterfly House. You can also enjoy a fern glade, a nature trail, an azalea trail with lots of hydrangeas, and a koi pond at the aquatic garden. Bring good walking shoes, water, and plan to spend 2-3 hours to take... The gardens are really cool, all of the plants had little signs to tell you what they were and there was a really neat miniature train area. The train area had bonsai trees which made the train area look that much cuter. There were also some really interesting metal sculptures within the gardens made by a local artist, the sculptures... It is a nice walking area with beautiful landscaping on the west side of town. Join for a year and get access at your convenience.
