I liked how the garden was set up it was done very nicely, but the place I loved the best was the butterfly house, you get to see all the different kinds flying around it was wonderful, there was also a little waterfall with turtles in there ( the kids would love that). what I also loved is how caring... The Botanical Garden has 90 acres of varied gardens. When I visited the scarecrow exhibit had just started. A must see is the Purdy Butterfly House, I have never seen so many butterflies on exhibit in one place before. They were all over the place. The garden, waterfall and trail were exceptionally well done for an exhibit like this. I... More

The gardens are so well kept and it's very near the airport so you or your guests can stretch their legs after a cramped flight. They have wonderful blooms all year but it's super in the spring. The scare crow competition brings out a lot of clever ideas from the community and the holiday lights are beautiful. Top is off... More

Explored the beautiful grounds of the gardens. It was a good hike, we could've walked for many more miles but our feet were tired. Loved the hammocks amid the shady trees. Ah, peace! My 6 year old loved the Alice and Wonderland spots that correlated with the story. It may be a seasonal exhibit. Nice place to go when it's... More

This is about the only outdoor place my kids love during the summer heat. There are splash ponds to keep cool in, fish to feed, and the butterfly garden to help keep cool. And so many beautiful places to play and run around. This is my favorite place to take the kids in Huntsville. If you're lucky, there are free... More

Highly recommend for children and/or grandchildren. Need a day the kids will be totally thrilled - have fun - and wear down for bedtime??? This is it. Our granddaughter loved this place. She enjoyed the activity time - loved the butterfly house (still talks about the turtles and butterflies). Had a picnic off to ourselves. The water features were definitely... More

I was impressed with the layout of this garden. It is very child friendly. They have sections with playgrounds and water play areas and children theme areas. The butterfly house was out favorite. The Alice and Wonderland theme was the theme of the park when we were there. See the locals use it as a day trip to the park.... More

Everyone with a family should visit this truly beautiful garden. We so enjoyed ourselves even though we ran out of time. Be sure to give yourselves at least 3-4 hours to explore every corner. I love the Alice in Wonderland theme; the children's garden was also really cool to explore as adults and older children. The Butterfly house was also... More

We visited just today during Armed Forces week. Got in free since my husband is a retired army veteran. We enjoyed the displays of "Alice in Wonderland" thru out the park. The flowers were beautiful and the butterfly house was relaxing and enjoyable. My only complaint is the map they provide you is very confusing and we missed a few... More

The Huntsville Botanical Garden is worth a leisurely visit during any season. Children delight in whimsical displays throughout the area. Adults rejoice in the beauty and serenity of trees, flowers, ferns, and beautiful landscaping. My husband and I once took a group to the Garden during a tour of Huntsville. Because it was late fall and the weather was a... More
