This is a place is go if a exhibit I wanted to see was there. Or if I wanted to take a walk somewhere else then my block. I would also come every month or so to see the beauty of nature!! But I wouldn't go here everyday unless I absolutely love nature and feed the birds. For people older... More

I have visited this place many times over the years and have yet to have a less than wonderful experience. It's a beautiful place and all the staff are wonderful!

The HBG is a mature, 100+ acre botanical garden boasting a Children's Garden with 9 themed sub-gardens and the Purdy Butterfly House. The gardens are really cool, all of the plants had little signs to tell you what they were and there was a really neat miniature train area. The train area had bonsai trees which made the train area look that much cuter. There were also some really interesting metal sculptures within the gardens made by a local artist, the sculptures... A nice place for a relaxing afternoon. Awesome flowers. A gem that most folks do not take advantage of.

It is a nice walking area with beautiful landscaping on the west side of town. Join for a year and get access at your convenience.

HBG has grown up over the years, and the foliage and flowers are absolutely wonderful! The gardens have fantastic educational programs planned throughout the year, including an Alice in Wonderland theme this summer, with children's camps where the young ones can explore nature and learn in a relaxed atmosphere. Bring a Picnic and stay all day! Lots of thing for the kids to play on and water to play in too! Bring water, food and a change of clothes for the little ones.

They had the Alice in Wonderland theme set up. Can't wait to go back for the Scarecrow Walk! Very clean, plenty of shade trees to test from the sun. Great for kids.
