One minute you're in the city. The next the country. Beautiful little pond/lake that has a nice walking trail. Great spot for family photos especially in the spring when all the hydrangeas are in bloom!

Beautiful gardens within the city of Hoover. Great place to walk and enjoy nature. Also have great concerts from time to time.

If you aren't careful you might drive right past Aldridge Gardens, it is on the corner and the sign can be hidden around a curve until you get right on it. I haven't taken all the trails that go up into the woods on the building side of the lake but I have walked around the lake on both visits,... More

I had been told so many wonderful things about Aldridge Botanical Gardens, and I was completely disappointed!! I was expecting lots and lots of flowers, but there were very few when I was there and this was in April. Birmingham and Atlanta Botanical Gardens both put this one to shame. It was more of a forest than it was flowers,... More

This is a great place to walk around the lake and enjoy the beautiful landscape. The trees and plantings are beautiful, so it's very relaxing.

The place is peaceful and quiet. Definitely great for time to relax and for bringing a small child to appreciate nature. I intended to power walk but the loop wasn't suitable for my purpose - it was not long enough. The pond though gives the place a beautiful backdrop. When I went there the walking path was being worked on... More

We love to go and walk around the lake all year round. When our grandchildren were younger, we would go to feed the ducks. They offer classes on gardening and have a gift shop. Can be rented for events. Great place for pictures! They are constantly doing new things, so it is a garden in progress!

I find this place the most relaxing around. I take relatives over for picnic lunch. Large fish and turtles in the lake (boathouse). Wheelchair enabled!

Unlike the Birmingham Botanical Gardens who welcome photographers (pro and amateur alike), Aldridge seems to think anyone with a DSLR needs to be charged for the "privilege" of shooting there.

Very relaxing place. Nice lake with walking trails, for free! Good place for spending a few hours, just bring water with you.
