Our condo was right by the pier and its really nice! It was rebuilt a few years ago after the hurricane. You do have to pay to go out on the pier even if you aren't fishing. But well worth the $2 a person right at sun set. Good place to take pictures.

This was a very pretty area, but you had to pay to go out on the pier. We enjoyed the beach and there were professional photographers everywhere taking family pictures.

Went to the pier on an evening fishing trip, fun just to walk the pier, then spent the about 2 1/2 hours fishing from the pier. Managed to catch a redfish in that time, others around me were catching saltwater catfish at a rather fast pace. Rented equipment at the pier to fish with and brought my own bait with... More

We did not fish at the pier, only watched the action and wished we were! It was a hot day, and not much place to get out of the sun. But the fishing is so different from what we know in the Midwest, all of it was very interesting to watch! From the kinds of fish caught, the size of... More

This time of year (July), it's hard to see a good sunset from the Orange Beach/Gulf Shores area. By walking out onto the pier ($2 a person), you can get a little different view to the West and maybe some neat photos. There are a ton of people who fish out there, and in the evenings, there are a lot... More

This is a nice pier to go on if you are wanting to fish. If you are going to look at the water or something along those lines I don't recommend it. You have to stay behind the red line and there is no shad so it is very hot. The fishermen there are very rude and disrespectful. I will... More

It was wonderful to walk along the pier and see everyone catching so many fish. The water was clear and you could look down to see the schools of fish.

While we saw several people hook fish, watching an older man land a huge fish was the highlight of this visit.

Very nice fishing pier that has everything you need to fish--you can even purchase a fishing license there. Fishing is really pretty good from this pier with people catching a variety of fish--even sharks.

The pier is way to crowded in the summer. We had rather go in the fall and spring although there were some really nice redfish caught by our family. They need more cleaning stations on the pier but there is water available in several areas. The restrooms were used so much by the crowd that they smelled horrible. I don't... More
