This place offers fisherpeople of all levels an opportunity to catch fish. The people in the store are very helpful and attentive. Even if you don't like to fish its fun to watch. There is plenty of information on the internet about pier fishing and the equipment needed. You see families with all age children fishing and everyone has a... More

Great opportunity to salt water fish without the boat - everything comes and goes by the pier - live bait, cut bait, artificial lures - somebody is going to catch something.

We hung out on the pier for a couple of hours. We were staying in a condo about a mile away and just walked down there to check it out. It's pretty cool. Mostly people are fishing, we were just relaxing on one of the many benches. It costs a few dollars to go, but it's worth it.

Advise, just fork out the 2 bucks to walk this pier. It's worth it. Lots of information to read about local wild life. Can actually see sharks and sea turtles. Watched some fisherman bring up interesting fish to see up close. Yes there is a red line at edge of pier that your not supposed to cross however if there... More

We love this place. When you look down in the water you never fail to see some kind of sea life. The pelicans are always there begging for fish that the fisherman are cleaning. Fun place to go.

Restrooms, rentals..what else can you ask for? Same as all fishing piers, you pay, you fish, you catch!

I went to the pier in June to fish and loved it so much I traveled back from Birmingham Alabama 2 weeks later just to fish from the pier. I fished for 3 days all day. I'm ready to go back. The pier is Great!

I've taken my kids here twice and they always enjoy seeing ocean life. The first time we saw several sting rays and jelly fish from the pier. This last visit we couldn't see much but did see several dolphins. It does however cost I believe $3 which is price for the little time that is spent looking for sea life.

We went 4 different occasions during our week in Gulf Shores and each time was better than the last. From the website and other reviews, we had planned on renting salt water fishing gear at the pier, however, we were unpleasantly surprised to find that at 8:30am on a Monday morning, all the equipment was already gone. At first, I... More
