Yes there is a $2.00 fee per person to go on the pier but it is worth the money. This pier is long that it stretches far into the ocean. We went at night which allowed us to see Orange Beach and Gulf Shores city lights. There were a lot of people fishing and the pier had lots of amenities... More

Even if you don't fish, you need to go. We like to walk the pier every time we go to Gulf Shores (about twice a year). Just walk down the long pier and see the different types of fish being caught. Enjoy the incredible views. Talk to the locals that are fishing, and it's so interesting and relaxing.

People can fish off of the pier from here. There's a little place to eat here. It's cool to see so far out on the water.

Rented poles for $11 each and bought some bait and were off. Beware the bathrooms are gross, especially for kids. The locals will run you away if they think you're in "their spot". Overall a good experience for us. Saw a few guys catch sharks, although they pull them in and snap photos and cut lines. Mosquito spray is a... More

So, we went to the pier on one of our excursions. It was a warm day. We had to pay to walk the pier. So after going in, many people were fishing, nice place for it. But there were guts everywhere, along rails and on the gutting stations. I did not enjoy it.

We walked to the pier one morning from our condo. Enjoyed the view, cool breezes and watching the variety of fisherman cast from the dock. There are signs posted along the dock, explaining the types of fish and wildlife found around the area. Even enjoyed a bird sitting in the middle of the pier waiting for the smaller fish to... More

Great place to fish or just walk and watch everyone else catching fish. You also can see wild dolphins chasing and catching fish as well. Nice place to take the kids.

Great place to visit even if you aren't fishing. It's fun to walk along the pier and see what other people are catching and have caught from sharks to rays to anything you can think of. Lots of pelicans and other seabird antics to enjoy. There is also a restaurant on the pier where you can get bbq, ice cream,... More
