Played golf six days in Alabama with two foursomes and we unanimously agreed Kiva Dunes was our least favorite. Fairways were hard, ball did not set up and greens were bumpy and roll not consistent. Not a good value at $100 per round; maybe worth $35. Where the number one rating came from is beyond imagination.

We golf 36 holes here the first week of November. This is a beautiful and challenging course and gives a nice advantage to women. Beautiful white sand runs throughout the course. The bunkers are like war bunkers. Some of them are so deep, wooden steps were installed to get in and out. The first 18 holes was a learning experienced... More

We played 36 holes here last week and the course is nice. It plays tight and long from the tips. The staff was very nice and we only waited after the first 18. There are no "on-the-fly" lunch options. Our hot dogs took 30 minutes to come out. They said we should have called ahead?!? I am not sure how... More

We played this course about 2 weeks after it had been airified, but you could hardly tell it at all. The greens rolled great and the course was in very good condition. I can only imagine how fast they are regularly. Very nice staff, club house etc.

This place is not rated #1 in Alabama for no reason......the course is beautiful and challenging. The club house is great with full staff pro shop and a super restaurant with five star burgers and lots more great dishes. I visit Kiva Dunes 10-15 times a year and enjoy it every time. The golf experience is superb.

Kiva Dunes, came highly recommended, and it dissappointed. The price of property the course sets on is beautiful, but it is very obvious that the course management is awful!!!!! Way over priced!!! The greens appeared to have not been cut in 4 or 5 days. Save your money and go play cotton creek at Craft Farms, way better course for... More

Course came highly recommended and I'm not sure why. It was nice but nothing special. Certainly not $99 special. Have played in resort areas before and have played better courses for a lot less. HUGE fairways were nice. Course gets tough at the greens, which were fast, but kind of scruffy. We played on a Wednesday, so the Blue Angels... More

We stayed in a beach house and my husband golfed the course. Hard he says... :) Try the Bloody Mary in the KD Restaurant. WOW! $7, very good. We saw an alligator on the sand part of the end of the golf course! Pretty views here. Pools are great.
