During our week long visit to Gulf Shores we stopped at this park multiple times. It has much to offer from excellent camping facilities, outdoor swimming pools, bike rentals, well maintained nature trails and a Nature center just to mention a few things. We attended a free class about alligators in the visitors center and got to see a real... More

We made a quick stop just to venture out onto the beach. So happy we did this. The sand was so sugary white, it was absolutely beautiful. The parking lot attendant was so nice & polite. Of course our visit was today (Monday) it wasn't crowded at all.

I loved the feel of this place. It actually felt like they had paved a road in the middle of a jungle full of animals and made it into a hiking trail. I walked through some trail that was not one of the main trails on a day when it was raining. Unfortunately we did not see any animals apart... More

We camp often, various places around the state. Gulf State Park was by far by favorite especially with kids (ages 6, 8, 14). The pool is fantastic. Splash pad was a nice addition. Get to the pool at 9:00 when it opens for a seat. They fill up quickly. Nice, lighted tennis courts. We did not use the public beach... More

The beach was nice and clean. We have been to Gulf Shores many times before and were just as pleased as in the past. $5 to park, which seems very reasonable. Not sure if that includes in-and-out privileges. The bath house looks large, but is rather small. I recognize that it's the beach and there's sand, but the ladies restroom... More

We love this bike /walking trail and ride it as many times as we can when visiting Gulf Shores. Its so much cooler than riding on the beach road. Its paved with no motorized vehicles allowed. There's lots of shade from the trees and beautiful scenery native to this area. There are benches and photo opportunities for those interested all... More

Gulf State Park is a series of parks located in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach (AL). If the two miles of snowy white beaches along the Gulf of Mexico isn’t enough water for you, the park area includes access to a 900 acre lake. From picnic areas to fishing piers and cottages to tennis courts, Gulf State Park is a... More
