Perfect late night beach walk, white sand and emerald green water!!! Beautiful coastal views, warm water and pier that cost $3 per person to walk. Fishing was available too.

The park itself has a really pretty beach area. The main attraction tho is the fishing pier where you can rent poles and buy bait and try to catch something. At only $10 per pole, it's really not that expensive and it was something my kids have never done before. My son even caught a fish within the first 10... More

We enjoy going to the state park to take sunset pictures or just to drive through and enjoy nature. There are normally rabbits, large birds, wild flowers and more along the roadside.

We went to kayak in the park. It was fin but we could only find access at lake Shelby. The grounds are clean and nice. The kids loved watching the zip liners! It was a beautiful day!

There is a fee for this park. It has a good size body of water, but we did not have any luck fishing there at all. Great day use area if that is what you are looking for.

Went in late July 2014 with my husband and two angelic boys (*wink.) Wanted a good break from the beach and this far exceeded our expectations. There was no fee other than cost of bike rental. We rented our bikes from Beach Bike Rentals right next to the Rosemary Dunes Trail entrance. They gave us a map of the Backcountry... More

We visited Tuesday, August 5, 2014, with family visiting from Texas. My sister in law was amazed. She said our beach is so much cleaner than the one in Galveston. We found lots of beautiful shells and sand dollars. The pavilion is top notch. The indoor showers actually have hot water! There is covered seating for picnics, and a small... More
