You could get to the trailheads without entering the park, but for just $1 it was worth paying the entry fee to get to the nature center. The volunteer there was very helpful and friendly. There were restrooms there. The Butterfly Garden is near the center of many of the trails and there are restrooms there, too.

A great place for any outdoor activity, biking, hiking, or just walking about some of the fiest facilities in the south, the staff are super friendly and the bike trails are really well maintained Hint: morning and afternoon are best for dolphin watching

We came during the off season. The sand is beautiful and white! The sand dunes were a perfect backdrop for some spectacular photos.

Wife and I rode bikes on to the state park and rode amongst the RV camping areas and discovered the park is connected to several excellent biking trails. We spent late morning and early afternoon riding about a total of 20 miles or so riding the paved trails through the woods and camping areas. Would definitely go back just to... More

We have gone to the Park every year that we've come down here & every year it has expanded the number of trails. We love to ride our bikes there. We've seen alligators, armadillos, & different birds. Love the Spanish Moss hanging from the trees on one of the trails.

Wow! What a wonderful beach! The white sand is just the right consistency--not powdery but not coarse rock. And for shelling (beachcombing to us westerners), it was absolute heaven. A huge variety of shells was visible everywhere. But I found bigger and more unique ones by just choosing a spot and digging a little. It was like finding buried treasure.... More

it was our first time in Alabama beaches and it was the most relaxing and awesome experience... we travel by car more than 800 miles and it ell worth effort! Beaches well maintained, clean, white sand and limiteless view. Great locations (restaurants, pubs, shores) close by. We recommended this place.
