We were a bit disappointed in this museum, although it is free and in that regard we had no regrets for choosing to visit. Gadsden is not a particularly small town so we expected a modest but professionally run facility. Instead we saw a traveling exhibit of modest interest and a bunch of empty cases. We discovered an interesting if... More

I visited the Gadsden Museum of Art this week with my Aunt, who is a very well known artist from Birmingham. Her impression of this small, quaint gallery was already positive so it was easy for me to see why. A local show was underway with a variety of paintings (oil, watercolor, acrylic) and one or two pottery exhibits. Colorful,... More

Wow, this place is full of surprises and culture way beyond what one might expect in a town the size of Gadsden. Many surprise exhibits like Andy Warhol and dinosaur animation. The gigantic recreation of pre WWII Gadsden train set is captivating. Would highly recommend this to anyone and especially school trips!

I know that Gadsden is a small place but when my friend and I went to visit this museum we found very little. There was a local artist exhibition on the first floor. No guide was there to tell you where to go next within the two story building. It turned out the main part was upstairs tucked away and... More

Great museum for the area. Friendly staff in a clean environment. Mixed with art the museum has moved forward in many way in the past few years even adding a complete upstairs showroom. In the center of downtown it worth your time to visit. It's free!

This is the smallest ' museum' I've ever been to. When I went, it had an interesting general history of Alabama timeline with lots of artifacts. They do seem to love their quilt shows here. Not exactly my thing but I can appreciate the hard work done in the works and exhibit. Also, it's free, so there's no harm in... More
