The brand new visitor's center is at the entrance to the park, a must stop for guides and maps to the area, very clean picnic tables and restrooms right on the river, always plenty of room for big groups, it is huge!

I have been coming to this park since I was a little girl. I love the trees here and the location by the Might Tennessee River. They have playground equipment for kiddos and picnic tables for families. I really like it here. I like the towering bluffs on the other side of the river too.

We love to walk for exercise and just sit and picnic enjoying the view. The campground is always our first choice however it does need improvements such as wifi and cable tv. They also need to add more spots as it is completely full at times. They need to utilize land right on river for premium rv sites.

New building to host visitor center. We found them extremely helpful and in a easy to access location in the park.

We stayed here in our 45 foot motor home for a couple weeks. The campground has full hook ups and is right on the Tennessee River for only $23 bucks a night. Nice and quiet. Walking trails, disc golf, boat launch and putting range. Easy to get to and close to everything. We'd definitely stay here again if in the... More

McFarland is located on the banks of the Tennessee River. Regardless of the time of year or what else is going on at the park, you can always find a great place to sit and relax and stare out at the beauty of the river.

McFarland is a wonderful place to go and walk, have lunch and/or park a camper, unless it is flooded. This does happen, when the entire park is under water. Not sure if there is a remedy for that; the city moved the municipal golf course to a drier location. The tourism office is there, not sure how you'd get there... More

We love that this park is right on the Tennessee River. This is an excellent park to walk and enjoy being outside. We wish the City of Florence would put some money into making the sites more big rig friendly. It seems they have a gold mine and they don't do anything to improve the facilities for future people who... More

Great place for those who love to fish or those just wanting to stroll around the marina area and get in a good walk. Swings and benches are placed along the walkway for those who want to just sit, rest and watch the boats as they come and go. For a truly beautiful setting of the sun view, nothing beats... More
