The town of Fairhope has many delightful small and unique shops all along the main street and several side streets. Its fun to just stroll around the town which is not large....maybe 4 blocks by 2 blocks. It's a lovely, clean town with beautiful flowers on most corners, which shows the pride the residents have for their town.

Fairhope Avenue has a lot of really great shops. Local art is available, dress shops, an old fashioned hardware store, a local farm-market cart selling fresh vegetables and good restaurants.

Drove over from Destin. Beautiful quaint town. Lots of little stores. Great panini lunch. Would go back next year.

We drove through downtown Fairhope a few years ago on our way home from the beach. We fell in love with the charm of this city and decided this was where we wanted to eventually retire. Lots of small, local businesses; beautiful flowers year round; great little restaurants and coffee shops. The lighted trees are absolutely beautiful. Lots of things... More

The city of Fairhope is quaint and beautiful! Lots of flowers and places to walk. Great restaurants and shops! Beach area is nice too with a pier out over the water.

Love the lights of Fairhope. Love the stores. Love the flowers. Great little town. Don't miss the pier and the homes on Mobile Street and Bayview.

We love to stroll a real downtown , not one filled with High end designer shops. Fairhopes downtown has real local business people running the shops, local stuff and designers from the area. Easy walk , nice and flat !

I'm not a very good shopper. I love art galleries and antique shops. I had been told over and over that I MUST do Fairhope. I was very disappointed. I was expecting an interesting street scene and quaint shops with local art and crafts and antiques. There are some of each of those things. But mostly it was high end... More

It is like taking a walk back in time. Flower baskets hang from the light posts, flower beds ripe with colorful blooms on the street corners, cobblestone sidewalks. The eateries are wonderful and varied. The shops are eclectic and fun. This is the best downtown experience I've had.

I truly love downtown Fairhope. I enjoy just strolling along going from one shop to the next. The shops are unique and the shopkeepers are so nice and helpful. You can tell they know they work in a very special place. There is a great mix of restaurants along with the shops. Everything is clean and there always seems to... More
