There are numerous boutiques and restaurants on Fairhope Avenue and surrounding streets. Went with friends this year on a Thursday. Had a good time watching the women shop and enjoyed looking in the antique store. Then we had had lunch. A nice place to visit and shop.

This town is geared totally to the tourist experience. We visited on Fat Tuesday the day after their big Mardi Gras parade. We owned the town as there were few people but quite a few shops were closed. Every shop that we were in we left knowing the person in it. They seem to truly enjoy getting to know you... More

BEAUTIFULLy lighted at night! The whole downlown area of Fairhope is decorated with tree lights at night from early December through Mardi Gras. To see it during the day is also a bit of eye candy because there are flowers everywhere. They do a great job of placing flower beds on every corner and containers down the streets to see... More

Downtown Fairhope spares no expense on maintaining the beautifully landscaped downtown area. It is simply incredible and always makes for a photographers dream. The streets are lined with lighted trees throughout the Christmas season making for wonderful ambiance and even a little romance. They host parades during Christmas and Mardi Gras that are very family friendly. This town is a... More

Probably impossible to see everything in one day, I need to go back. If you can, do the evening art walk the first Friday of each month. Go at night to see the light display during fall and winter.

It is typical Us shopping road, very nice and cozy. Shops seem to be very nice, there are also some restaurants, quite a desert at night
