Ok, yes, the sculptures are wonderful and the perspective you get of both the ocean to the east and the city to the west is fantastic. Loved, loved, loved this. HOWEVER, driving back from here, on the causeway that connects to Brasilia Temosa, we had to suddenly stop the car because several teenaged boys jumped out from behind the rocks.... More

So, this park of sculptures by Francisco Brennand is interesting; the big one called the crystal column is a huge replica of a cactus flower (Francisco may deny it but look at it closely and look at the plant; you will know where he got his inspiration). Everywhere in Recife you can find along the streets and the squares and on modernist buildings of the last 4 decades, monumental art works created by Francisco Brennand. Go and see one of the best sights of Recife, but do not expect anything but this, cause the sculptures aren't in the best shape, instead, go to the "Casa de Banhos", a very popular Bar in Recife near the Park, and get a really cold boose while you are enjoying the beautiful end of the afternoon in Recife, Many...
