What a fantastic place. I just run through out the beach and enjoy a awesome feeling. Each time I have been made to order the following areas as a maid and it reply me.

Very gushing water waves unlike Goa and other western beaches.. this really takes your heart away.. the Mandarmani beach was quieter and less dingy than the old Digha beach.. Well, Digha is a pleasant place to visit, especially if you want to get out of monotonous stress. A visit of 2-3 days would be the best. If you wanna take a bath, then I suggest you to go to Old Digha. It's just 15 minutes away from New Digha and proper transport facilities are available.Market of New Digha beach... More

Digha is less than 200Kms from Kolkata ( Calcutta ), India and well connected by Rail & road. The journey by train excludes the hassles of road travel but I personally prefer to travel by car. It was my fav beach until I saw other beautiful beaches in India ..now as I compare I can say it is poor .. Water is not too good

Nice sightseeing. Good connectivity, good gestures shown by locallites, awesome weather and last but not the least THE BEACH....absolutely marvellous...crystal clear water...

there are many unknown beaches near digha, kolkata with quality guest houses on beach. you may spend 4/5 days here with recreations all round, great sea-food,sea-fish markets, beach-forests, science park & museum,toy train,boating, rope way,adventure ride on sea,para gliding,etc. spend your evening-time blissfully sitting on beach.

We went to Digha and stayed in a hotel at New Digha. But when we went to the sea beach there we were disappointed because of 3 reasons -Hardly any sand,full of boulders -over crowded -filthy We got the information that if we want a sandy sea beach then we have to go to Mohana which is 5 kms away...
