The place is around 250km away from kolkata. A most wanted weekend spot for any kind of travellers. It is better to stay at New Digha which is a little far from Old Digha which is all-time full of crowd. People can try seafood's available at old digha itself. To have a great bath new digha is always a choice... More

Except the sea side ambiance, i didn't feel like anything else is there, Great foods including fresh fish on demand fry(check before buying as they can give you stale fishes) pretty crowdy on weekends, not so clean walk through's beside the beach. Good budget hotels around. But preferably stay at New Digha, its a little bit serene than Old Digha.

Well, It was a terrible experience. People there are just typical Bengali People who gave me a choke each time i was out. And the beach is not any good place to walk to stay for long time. The evaporated sea water was making my skin feel so much bad that i had to have shower each time i went... More

Digha is a must visit place for all Bengali people and this is the most popular beach of West Bengal. But the way people use it for commercial /picnic purpose, it's becoming more and more dirtier. Condition of new/old Digha is very poor. One can choose Barrister Colony which is very clean and well maintained. A good number of hotels... More

Had heard a lot about this beach for quite some time before taking an offbeat drive to this beach. I will be honest, this beach is not for me. Over crowded, not at all clean, and absolutely not a sandy beach to walk along. The only thing good about this beach, is the fresh fishes available in almost all hotels.... More

I am not happy with digha beach. Unlike puri beach you can not go to beach easily with kids.Beach area covered with lots of stone and it's dangerous for kids. Not a recommended beach.

Yes, the view, the overexcited tourists, the infidel men and women, all of this adds up to your entire experience. But then the sea-food isn't that good. At least I've had better sea-food in Orissa and Tamil Nadu. You get cheap as well as costly hotels near the sea-beach. Do avoid going there during national holidays or during the new... More
