Digha is a sea site situated at Midnapur District of west Bengal State of India. It is around four hours journey from Kolkata by Car / Bus or by Train. Digha is divided by Old Digha and New Digha. Old Digha is pleasant. Food and accommodation are cheap, because of which the beaches are almost always crowded. However, the color of the sea is not attractive. Bathing in the sea is not a very pleasant experience as you may get sand particles in your hair. Not too many things to attract tourists.
Digha if not taken proper care in urgent way, will soon become only a picnic spot - but it had potential to become a great tourist destination.
