Excellent place to visit and learn about Swami Vivekanada. One can spend some time in solitude here and search the inner soul. Get inspired by great visionaries.

It is one of the biggest heritage of kolkata. Very peaceful place and wonderful to go for peace. Its near the ganges.

For the first time I went inside Howrah, on the other side of the bridge, over Grand Trunk Road, seeing all types of establishments. The Math prepares lunch for some 2000 people everyday and that is app laudable. From families to foreigners to workers all eat the bhog here. The place is just by the Ganges and a perfect place... This is time time I visited Belur Math. Every time I have visited the place it has given my different perspective to life. Place has opening and closing hours and ensure to verify that before visiting. They now have a wonderful museum on life of Swami Vevekanand. Keep about 90 min to view that. Entrance fee Rs 5.00. Liked Neat and clean ambiance and a little bit spirituality in Kolkata.Location is a bit far from city center , One can see it on way to Daksineswar kali temple.

One of the most divine place, this was built up by Swami Vivekananda, the youth icon of India. Located on the babks of the river Ganges, this place too inculcates in you a sense of belief in the unseen Almighty Power. The hymns, the puja they make you feel one with the God.

it is very clam place and very clean. You can go by ferry boat also for Dakshinewar Temple. if u have car , prefer car .
