My in-laws brought us here as they are followers of Great Shri RamaKrishna. It is quite possibly the most calming place I have ever been. It is so peaceful. Located right on the Ganges with ferry service to Dakshineshwar Kali Temple. Definitely plan in time for reflection here.

Place Where Great Shri RamaKrishna used to reside and the place where Swami Vivekananda's Mortal Remains were offered Fire, they have some nominal entry fee i understand, the place has been beautifully made up now , they have every area properly marked and telling its own significance. Liked everything here.15-20 mins Boat ride from Dakshineshwar. Clean and well maintained premises. The "Math", Bank of the river, everything is just great

Don't know what one enjoys best...
EVENING AARTI IS NOT TO BE MISSED. if you can spend sometime at the book shop u can get a book of evening aarti else simply close your eyes n enjoy the trans. i'm sure you'll experience it.
This is the best religious place in Kolkata.
