During my very short stay in Calcutta I did the Goddess Beckons Tour of the arts area of Calcutta - not visited by many tourists - but as Manjit is well known in this area by the artists it made it relaxing to walk around and take photos in this fascinating colony I would not have experienced on my own.... This trip is definitely made so everyone who joins it shall fall in love with Kolkata. The name of the tour gives you a wrong idea, it is not only a Foto tour but a way to discover Kolkata with all your senses. Even people who are not so much into photography should definitely not miss this great opportunity to... More

We took the Culture Kaleidoscope tour with Manjit earlier this week and it was an excellent experience. He begins with a very informative narrative of the history and cultures of the city, but this quickly becomes a stimulating discussion which responds to the interests of the group. The pace is just right as you move around tranquil and bustling locations.... More

We did the Culture Kaleidoscope Tour with Manjid. He lives in the area and is offering the tour for many years now so he is well known in the neighbourhood and has access to most of the buildings. I found it interesting how many different communities are living next to each other in such a small area. Besides there are... More

I really enjoyed my morning walk with Manjit. Such a funny guy and always a good story in his pocket. Exploring this beautiful city in the light of dawn was wonderful. And it' s a really easy and fun thing to do if you travel alone!

This one's special. Manjit is that magical combination of being very personable, a talented photographer and patient intuitive teacher. He just knows when where and how you'll get great photos and more than that, he is intelligent, knowledgeable and highly entertaining with impeccable English and an ability to cross cultures in his discussions and explanations. He understands you, people, history,... More

I ve been on many guided walks in Mumbai, Delhi and London but this one was special. Manjit has an interesting take on the city of Kolkatta which is filled with information, humour and insights. He sees everything through a camera lens and encourages you to do the same while you're attempting the perfect shot. I learnt a lot about... More

I participated in two fascinating photo tours-The Godess Beckon, and the Flower Market. I saw aspects of Kolkata that I hadn't seen before on my many visits. The tours are led by Manjit--a charming, knowledgable, and very helpful guide. I found that he gave me just the right level of support and guidance (I'm an enthusiast), but was equally effective... Getting up at 5.30 on a Sunday is not usually high on our list of priorities, but we had signed up for a walking photo' tour and we were meeting Majit at our Hotel at 6.15. We were prompt and Majit and his driver were already there. After a short drive we were in the first of several wholesale markets... More

I was visiting from the US and it was my first time in India. This was a fantastic way to get exposure to a new city and find out some great historical facts about the city. Calcutta Photo Tours made this experience easy, fun and interesting. I would highly recommend this tour.
