They have added a new kids wing which is excellent. Very bright and colorful and very apt for toddlers too. I take my two year old often and he loves being there. They a beautiful doll house and ball pool too. There are many other activities to keep your kid busy.

Went with a friend and two kids and the two kids had a whale of a time at the new children's wing, only wish they had installed an air conditioner too. In the humid Calcutta weather, that is a must. Has some birds and fishes too. Other sections of the museum are interesting but need renovation.Definately worth a visit.

This used to be the usual place to go on a school excursion. And how, we looked forward to it! Well, nothing's really changed, because it still has the same attraction for my daughter! I cannot start to enumerate all the wonders me and my daughter still experience as we visit this place at least once every two months! Whether... More

Went to this museum with some school kids who we teach on behalf of an NGO as a freelance. Great place, hospitality is awesome. Kids just loved all that were displayed by the Musuem authority. Only drawback is there is no point taking kids to this place who are yet to study the basics of physical/chemical science.

It's an ideal place to take the children for a family tour and let the Children learn about our daily science, space, Engineering , physics, Chemistry and even Mining in a single place at the heart of Kolkata / Calcutta. It can make the kids more interested on science, let the adults discover the secrets of many of our daily life... We are living in a technological era and India being at the heart of technological innovations it saddens me to see the attraction so not abreast with times...i dozed off during the show since it was so monotonous and the same stuff which i saw 15 years ago....it requires a massive facelift....

This place may not be interesting for adults, especially those from an engineering background. but for the rest, it is a must see. Children would love the place, and it would be highly educational for them too. It is quite decently maintained.

Awesome! Wow! Excellent! There is a shortage of adjectives while describing the experience at BITM. What an experience? Full of life.

You can spend the whole day in this place. There are many activities, specially for children. The galleries are extensive with plenty of things to interact with. Much better than the Science city. The canteen is poor and not clean but it is possible to go out to have a proper meal and come back without paying the entrance again.
