Mt kanchenjunga is beautiful, more than beautiful but also capricious. She would emerge this moment and go behind the clouds the next. But even a momentary glimpse of such a ' thing of beauty' is a 'joy forever'.

I saw snow peak of Kanchenjunga Mountain while our visit to Rishap. We saw beautiful sun rise from our hotel. We waked up at 4 am in the morning, we saw the sunrise @ 4:30 AM. The scene was just superb. the color change of the sky was superb.

snow laden himalayan range and the top peak is kanchenjunga. Best seen in sunrise from tiger hills. Its hard to see during rainy season or during heavy fog..During my stay, i was able to see it on last day, because due to rain and cloud its hard to spot kanchenjunga peak.

You can view the peak and it's surrounding mountains from the Tiger Hills. Of course you need to be lucky to have a clear day. You can club very easily with sunrise view from the tiger hills. Actually as the first rays of sun fall on to the peak, it's a sight by itself

this is the main natural iconic sight to see in darjeeling... the range of white snow cap against the blue sky is awesome... this can be disturbed by the weather (fog, rain) and the clouds... and if you catch it, it wont take long before the clouds will hide it again... so good luck!

Liked the surroundings, the weather, the locals and of course the old charm of British Raj......Disliked the poor maintainance of the beautiful hill station, bad roads connecting the plains and ignorant about cleanliness.....

If you are in Darjeeling and miss the sunrise then it is like going to Agra and not visiting Taj Mahal. It is not only the trip that pushes your adrenaline when you have to find a spot in the Tiger Hill among the crowd but also spiritually you are bound to bow to the majestic peak, Kanchanjanga that makes...
