Kanchenjunga is the highest mountain in India. Its perhaps never been climbed totally as was asked by the locals to not anger the deity of the mountain. The view from the View point is amazing. The only thing is they will whisk you off at 4:00 in the morning. And near the view point you will find a pretty decent... More

There is nothing one can dislike about Kanchenjunga. The sheer magnanimity will make a human feel so insignificant which feeling one cannot merely express in words. Do try and catch the early morning sunrise for a once in a lifetime experience

The word ‘Kanchenjunga’ in Tibetan means ‘the five treasure houses of snow’, which gives you an idea of what you will see when you visit the area. Travellers can enjoy some really fantastic views of the Kanchenjunga Mountain from the popular sites of Darjeeling, such as the Tiger Hill and Darjeeling War Memorial. The area surrounding this mountain is believed... More

How can you describe the beauty of Kanchenjungha in words.....impossible for me :) You happen to see this range from the Mall, from the Tiger Hill, from the tea gardens - the place is seeped in the mountain.

Excellent view from Darjeeling and many other places like Gangtok and Kalimpong. View from Tiger Hills at sunrise time is awesome.
