Sunrise from Tiger Hill is awesome, but most disadvantage is that if you target for sunrise, getting-up early in the morning at 3:30 am, you are not certain whether you wold be able to see the sunrise. Due to clouds and fog 50% of days the people miss to see sunrise. Best Place to see sunrise and see the Golden... More
This is one mountain peak which certainly takes away your breadth and leaves behind memories difficult to be erased even if you want to. The best way next to actually trekking up to there is by seeing it at Tiger hill on a clear day when you come across the grandeur of it in Golden color. A must see place... More
It's the third highest mountain in the world, of course it's brilliant. It had some good rocks, the ice and snow was also quite good - definitely above average. We didn't actually go up the mountain - we're not stupid, trekking to Goecha La pass was hard enough - but it is the most amazing place I have ever been.

Seeing the sunrise at Tiger Hill, the pink glow of the sun first hitting the mountains followed by the sun appearing on the opposite side was an amazing experience. And sitting in the garden of the hotel, suddenly to notice the clouds shift and the peaks of the Kanchengunga appear seemed like magic.
Simply something you can't dislike...though you have to be patience..as it will play hide & seek with you...but once you have a view of the same...that's the one most memorable time you will ever cherish.......you can't catch it in a camera but only in your eyes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The mountain is awe inspiring. On my first day in Darjeeling there was cloud cover hampering the view, but from the next morning the view from the window of Darjeeling Tourist Lodge was terrific. People do travel in the morning to Tiger Hill for a better and closer view but we decided against in view of the cold. The view... More
