Its a pretty average zoo with about 5-6 huge enclosures only showcasing different types of goats. Other animals are there too such as deer, bear, leopards and a tiger. However, in case you do not visit this place, you won't regret.

Good location, higher price for non Indian tourists. The Mountain institute that is included in the ticket price was the highlight of the trip. The animals were hard to see as the cages are very thick metal hashing.Quite a lot of maintenance work going on.

We visited Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park middle of June 2015.By that time, rainy season had already started. But, fortunately we got a clear sky for few hours and planned to visit zoo. Recently, GTA has started battery operated transportation services between Raj Bhavan (walk able distance from Mall) and zoo and it costs 20 Rs one way. The zoo... More

The Zoo is not much different from other Zoos in India, however, there is Red Panda in the Zoo and also White tiger. Many species of Parrots and other animals typical to the region.

A great place to come to in Darjeeling with a great selection of rare and unique animals, although it is a bit of a distance from Darjeeling town itself. The animals seem to be in great condition - happy and content (except for the snow leopard and panther, which seemed to be continually trying to out-stare and out-pace each other).... More

An extremely enjoyable visit with young children. Large park ,so a bit of climbing & walking. The red panda is a great attraction ,as not seen in any other zoo. So also the Snow leapard. Other good animals ---- ahold specimen of the tiger. Animals look quite healthy & well cared for! Some interesting birds too.
