If you are in Darjeeling and you love nature but aren't too much of an animal activist then this is the place for you. Kids love the place, grownups too. There is a nominal entry fee and extra charges for photography or videography. There is a myriad variety of birds, trees, reptiles, deer, and other furry creatures like bears, leopards,... More

We visited the Padmaja Naidu Zoo as our first place at Darjeeling and what a way to start it was. The zoo is well maintained with enclosures for the animals. And we found quite a few rare species of animals here. The kids were excited and happy too.

It was a very good place as I saw many new animals. It costs 40 rupees per person and 10 more rupees to bring a camera. The zoo had animals such as a Himalayan wolf, a snow leopard, a bengal tiger, common leopard and a jackal as well. The goats and sheep are not that interesting though. The bear and... More

The zoo may be small but the zoo has a cloudy leopard, snow leopard, an energetic tiger, wonderful birds and above all, red panda. Also do not miss the mountaineering institute museum in the same campus.

It is a good place to visit if you are an animal lover. This Zoo has some very unique birds and animals. Tiger is a main attraction of the Zoo. There are many outlets for snacks and refreshments. It is not a big Zoo, so anybody can enjoy a small visit.

Dont be put off by thinking what is a zoo all the way up here going to look like. We are not great fans of zoo's in general but this one was about as nice as you can make one. The animals seemed to be in good condition and it is a good opportunity to see animals native to the... More
