I didn't like to see all these proud creatures..Bengali tigers,Jaguars, leopards ,bears etc all caged in and displaying slightly disturbed behaviour.Very sad.The park is well laid out and a nice walk round, but I'm not a zoo fan

This particular zoo has lots of unique species like Red Panda, Snow... More

This is perhaps the worst zoo I've ever visited. Small, poorly kept enclosures house the occasional lonely animal. It's a short climb past the usual array of street vendors to get to the entrance. No smoking is allowed in the zoo and there's an additional charge should you want to take photos. You don't need more than an hour to... More

We were tempted by seeing the snow leopards. Sadly there was only one on show, and, like all the other animals, he looked very lonely

Dear Sir All the carnivores are kept single on display usually, worldwide, and are paired only during breeding season. I wonder which other animal you saw lonely as all other are in herds or paired. More

Compared to the Gangtok Zoo, This one is smaller. But far far better and well managed. We got to see all the animals, most of them in their natural surroundings. Very well impressed

we went to darjeeling last week only for 2 days. Weather was cloudy. only enjoyed the zoo & HMI.Saw the "Samadhi" of Tenzing Norgay and his dresses, accessories... i was thrileed. Enjoyed joyride of heritage himalayan railway. It took only 2 hrs from Darjeeling to Ghum and back. Didn't see Kanchanjanghya. bad luck. Hope get clear weather next time.
