it's a zoolgical park with the many animals, birds which are comenly found in the himalayan regions. Red panda was the most attractive animal, apart from white tiger, leopard & bear.

Anyone visiting darjeeling and not getting a look at the red pandas here will really miss the icing on the cake. It is a very well maintained park with twin entry into HMI as well. Don't miss out a few rare species as well. Walk to and fro from the mall area for breathtaking views of darjeeling town as well.

I'm not a big fan of zoological parks as I mostly end up being depressed after seeing animals in captivity. However, this was the first zoo that I really ever liked. The habitat for the wild animals was recreated very well. The enclosures were spacious and clean. The fact that it's on a hill makes the zoo look very beautiful.... More

Wow!! This zoo is full of lot of rare species. Red Panda, Snow Leopard, Black Panthers, Royal Bengal Tigers, Tiger Cat and Many more. There many rare birds housed. This zoo is maintained very decently and very clean. Unlike most of the zoo, animals were looking healthy and happy except few.

whenever i've visited a zoo cannot help but feel bad for supporting an institution that puts large animals in cages that can never be big enough. When you see a tiger pacing up & down the same 4 metres of fence for 30mins it can't be right. But at the same time zoos do a lot of good & valuable... More

Very well kept zoo.....may be the best maintained in India....few really rare species like the Himalayan monal(danphe)Nepal's national bird, snow leopard, clouded leopard, yak,Himalayan wolf and the Red Panda. All kept as best as their natural environment.Saw a royal Bengal tiger marking its territory by scratching the bark,.....never seen it in any other zoo.

This little zoological park was small but had some very interesting animals. I loved the red panda and the Himalayan bear. The Bengal tiger made me a bit sad -- he just paced back and forth in front of the fence that separated him from the female. He looked very lonely.
