About an hour+ ride from darjeeling the location is a marvel of engineering as the toy train takes a 360 degree loop before continuing its journey towards darjeeling/khurseong.

The road descends rapidly into the valley. With sharp bends all the way, there are breathtaking views at many points. Tea gardens dot the hill slopes.A multi-level picnic ground terraced... More

The rock garden is about 1400 feet below Darjeeling center. It is a treachorous steep ride down and up. But the place is nice with a large natural waterfall around which you will find nice walk-ways, mini-bridges and nice small cosy green places with benches to relax and enjoy the views.

Nice place to hang around for couple of hours. Very well designed with waterfall, flowers and lovely view of mountains. If you to go other tourist spot in darjeeling you wont even spend 30 minutes because most of the sight seeing in darjeeling are nothing but just a VIEW... but this place is more than that and journey from darjeeling... Driving down 3000 feet and entering the garden is an exciting experience. Very neatly designed with some water falls to add to the beauty. Tea estate is on the way.

It is a bit remote area and most of the sightseeing cars are not interested to go there but we convinced our driver to go there.... And it was beautiful.... Totally loved it. There is a nice waterfall and a garden has been made around it with lot of colourful flowers.

The road in between the orange valley was so thrilling because of it's steep hilly road. I saw road is under construction. Hope it will finish soon. But now the last 4-5 KM road is bad. But your four wheeler can take you there easily. It is worth to get there...
