So walking up at 4am to get a taxi to tiger hill would seem one has something really awesome to see. Turned out differently. There was fog, fog, fog and fog. It probebly is an AMAZING sunrise. But when the weather is foggy, it is a major dissapointment and not worth the 1 hour+ wait in the cold and in... More

Ooh what a splendid view it makes when you see the morning sun rays fall on the snow capped mountains. Right from the first light to the reddish-orange skies to the blue skies the mountains provide a breathtaking view. Actually on the way to the Tiger Hill point is another view point which provides a better view point to the... More

One and half hours’ drive from Darjeeling. But you have to move early morning to see the extra ordinary sun rise from tiger hill (which is near 11000 feet high). What a sunrise and its imaging when you have the light on Kanchenjunga. May be there is too much rush on Saturday and Sunday but other day you have the... More

We arose at 03:00 to take a pre-dawn taxi to Tiger Hill to watch the sunrise on Kanchenchunga. The next morning we simply stepped out onto our hotel terrace at dawn and saw exactly the same sight. Really wish we had been told not to waste our sleep!

This is an ordinary point that is over rated. A very ordinary sun rise and hundreds of people flock to gather at 6 am. Then they realise there is nothing much to do but none can turn back as there are hundreds of vehicles that get parked one behind the other so everyone has to wait for the other to... More

One of the top attractions in Darjeeling. You have got to see it to believe it. The splendid view of the rising sun coupled with the panoramic view of Mt Khangchendzonga with its neighboring peaks makes for one of the most inspiring scenes one can ever view in his lifetime. It completely makes up for the early morning rising from... More

It may require a 5am rise and a trip over some fairly basic roads but view is stunning. You can catch the pre dawn glow, watch the light cast vast shadows across the hills, see the first rays of sun striking the snow on the mountains and can see Everest.... If the weather is in your favour. You can choose... More

Though this is great place, but it has no value to visit here at 4.0AM if weather is not clear. We were disappointed just because weather was too cloudy and we were not able to see even the closest mountain.
