"Which place to visit at Darjeeling?" We asked at the reception counter during our short stay at Darjeeling. "Tiger Hills" smack came the reply from the pretty lady," but you have to go as early as 4 am to enjoy the view". December month and in the freezing cold, we thought whether it was worth it. But we went finally... More

Was totally disappointed on the first day visit as it was very cloudy . Made up our mind to come again the next morning ..left very early to avoid the rush ... Was rewarded with the most amazing views of the sun bathing the Kanchenjunga ..Breathtaking . Do not miss it .

The view of first Sunrays falling on Mt. Kanchenzunga was once a lifetime view. The golden peaks, that lasted for a few minutes, were every photographer's delight. You will also be shocked to see so many people gathered in this location in a chilly winter morning to see sunrise. If you are lucky or you are willing to sacrifice your... More

you should visit it for sunrise, in dec we left the hotel at 4:00 am , actually you don't really have to spend for the top floor of the observation tower. by the time we reached there the top one was sold out , we got the next one Rs 5/- ( I think). But to tell you the truth... More

Maybe I'm no longer satisfied to see the simple things in life like seeing the sunrise. Then this place isn't for me. But it wouldn't have been this bad if the other tourists weren't littering left and right. To waste 4 hours of your life standing to see the sunrise with tourists with no sense of cleanliness is a tragedy.... More

This was one of the best sunrises I have seen in my whole life. I liked the view of Kanchenjunga in the sunrise it was fantastic. It was a little late but it was worth the experience. I would recommend you get your camera. Also, you can see a little bit of Mount Everest and some other parts of the... More

Good: Nice early morning drive Nice view of sunrise if no clouds Lot many tea vendors and very good place for early morning tea in the chills Things to keep in mind: 1. Should book the cab previous day itself 2. Will be crowded 3. Difficult to see the sunrise if it's cloudy. It happens very often

There is nothing much to boast about Sunrise. However, if it is clear morning, then only you can see, Himalayan Range including KanchanJunga. Parking facility is terrible. Toilet facility is fitting to an undeveloped country and large number of people smoke and cause inconvenience. I did not enjoy.
