You get lovely views of the Himalayas and the sunrise. When our driver advised us to go at 4 AM I thought he had surely lost his mind. But he was right and we beat the crowds and had the best seats to the views.

Okay, struggled to get any proper guidance from this so here we go. We woke up at 3.15am (earliest Iv ever woken up for anything in my life) and headed to the clock tower intersection to grab a shared jeep (200R pp return) at about 3.45. The place was deserted, we honestly expected tourists flocking but nobody appeared and by... More

It supposedly has a great view of the entire range from here and is a sight to behold during sunrise. But as fate would have had it, fog ate up the entire view and we had to come back disappointed.

Honestly more than the view..... for me the journey is more exciting....... school kids with their tea flask.... going up to sell tea at sunrise......and then going down to go to school..... that is inspiring.....the view depends entirely on the weather..... but on clear day the transition of colours on the ice/snow clad mountain.... during sunrise is breathtaking.......

It was a long journey very early in the morning, have to brave the cold and get to this place admidst traffic all heading to this place. But it was worth it.. most scenic and most importantly you can view Mt. Everest from here. Must go.

If you are visiting Darjeeling, this is a place you must keep on list to visit. Start early morning in a cab booked previous day. Starting early will ensure you to get a good vantage point there. Sunrise is beautiful. More beautiful is the Mount Kanchenjangha when the first rays hit the peak. The famous Golden Tip. Of course that... More

Sun rise from the hill top was awesome when the sun rose from the back of the mountains and the view of total Kanchenjunga range was visible. Must go place in my advice. If you are not going with children and elderly don't buy tickets for sitting. Just buy car/ taxi parking as the place is very small and people... More
