a pretty old mall which has been around for such a long time ...one of the first malls if im not mistaken. shows its age from the deco inside and shop layouts. but choice of shopping and brands are adequate if you are not looking for designere wear. would reccomend it nevertheless as you can use it as a sounding... This used to be one of the premier malls in Chennai, but it's clearly going downhill pretty fast. There are now quite a few empty shops in the mall, and the feeling is not as good as it once was. I'm not into big American-style malls, but sometimes they are useful. Still, there's nothing special about this one. Even Spencer's... More

This is a pretty old mall/souk to call it more appropriate. You can shop for relics/handircrafts/artifacts/souvenirs here, but there just isn't a decent place to eat here. So come here well fed.

Dropped in here to have a quick look around and stop at the liquor store. Yes it's till there - located on the first floor in phase 1. It's down an alleyway so you'll have to ask. Collection of mainly traditional Indian goods and some tech shops. Food mall was located on top floor and has western brands too. Compared... More

This was one of the first malls to come out in Chennai and was very popular during the early 2000s. It was a popular hangout place for many of the Chennai youngsters. However many more upmarket malls have come out lately.

First mall in chennai probably. Crowded. Lots of local unbranded shops in it. Youngsters flock. Noisy. Eating joints are crowded. Its a headache being inside most malls in India mostly due to crowd and noise. Wouldnot like to go unless really need to go.

We were in Chennai and Spencer Plaza was just behind our hotel. So we decided to have a look at the place and do some shopping. Most of the shops have closed down here. You can feel that the place is getting old. Not many people come here now.
