This is the place for cheap bargains. Shops here are famous for textiles and other house hold goods. The place will always be crowded and parking is not possible in this area. A favorite of the locals, this place will not appeal to anyone visiting Chennai. If you still want to visit this place, watch your belongings.

you can find all things about Indian garments, daily supplies, and local hawker foods. At least here shops operates till 10:30pm and keep busy for next half an hour where in most parts of Chennai, life is dead already

Theyagara Nagar is shortly spoken as T Nagar. Ranganathan street, T Nagar is a big shoping area of various kind of goods. This area was at a walking distance from Hotel Taz Kamar Inn in T Nagar where we have stayed. Here one will find shops and big showroom of Golden/Diaomond/Pearl ornaments, sweets, eatery, readymade cloths for all, sarees, footwear... More

I had been with my family (4adults) to Chennai to shop for my wedding, as my fiance stays there currently. We started from Pune on 18 Feb 2015. The journey was via Bangalore and a good experience (in AC transport throughout). The journey is scenic and a relief to the city-eyes. We had booked our stay at Chennai Residency. Knowledge... More

Enjoyed this experience more than I imagined. Everything you need is there within walking distance. The fabrics, the gold, the jewels... you cannot comprehend until you see it. What is great though is that the prices are extremely reasonable. Some prices are fixed in certain shops which makes life easier. Others are flexible so get haggling.

price have gone up since my last visit 5 years ago but there are huge shops with multiple floors for each age group so allocate at least 2 full days to fulfill your shopping needs. Shops close by 10 PM each day so start your day early.

Ranganathan Street is a famous street for Shopping in T.Nagar. You will find from hairpins to Jewels all at affordable prices. It is a place for mainly for Indian Products and you name it, you will get it. Many times, I wonder families used to rest on the Chairs in the front of the each Store. Everyone seems to be... More

Prefer not to visit this place. Most congested area with pick pocket and chain snatching. Instead of going for purchases in Ranganathan street, go for purchase to other places.
