This used to be a good place to hangout a few years back and was comparatively clean. This beach has started getting too crowded and filthy to the point you are constantly on the watch out for trash in the water as well as the beach.

This beach was one that I liked better than any other beach in Chennai. Although this place has a good number of visitors but it also depends on the day you choose to visit. Weekends are really crowded whereas weekdays are better. I enjoyed a long walk on the beach and saw some beautiful sea creatures of resplendent shape and... More

You cannot call it the most beautiful beach but if you are a resident of chennai you will sure consider it as a boon. You can relax there sitting in the Sandy beaches watching lovers, singles, rich, poor, friends, college and school bunkers. And the crown jewel the repeated waves and a harmonious noise. But please watch out for the... More

This is the first clean beach i saw after so many places in so many years. The beach head is also posh and the best part on a Sunday morning we could get a leisurely parking spot. I hope it is the same at other times. Spacious beach head so I wondered about how crowded it could get in the... More

This beach is better than marina beach as it contains a lot better sea food than marina. Another factor which adds to its beauty is that this shore line is not so far so one may not need to walk long in sand to reach sea line. Crowd is less than marina beach so one can relax and enjoy.

Any late evening is an ideal time to visit this beautiful place. There's enough place on the pavement along the shore to sit and enjoy the beauty. The midnight moon and the sunrise in the dawn are sights to watch. You can have a few amazing pictures clicked too. Its a must visit place. There are lot of nice eateries,... More

Besant Nagar beach also known as Edward Elliot's Beach which was named after Edward Elliot, Governor of Madras. It is a popular beach after Marina in India. Its good hangout to spend some time in the evening with your friends. People who're thinking about swimming here please think again because water isn't that clean. But yeah once in a while... More

Besant Nagar beach is a popular beach after Marina Beach. Its good enough to spend couple of hours in the evening especially. Ample Two-Wheeler parking along the Beach side road. You will get Car parking if you are early but after 7 pm you have to park your far away and have to walk. Quite a bit of eateries around... More
