For the kids, it’s a special treat to see large crocs spend the day languorously by the water. The Madras Crocodile Bank Trust and Centre for Herpetology also allows adults to volunteer and gain hands-on experience in the field. « less

As far as I know this is the only place where you have an exclusive captive farm for crocodiles from around the world. It is a tourist attraction as well as a research station for crocodiles. Those who may not like to visit zoos or hate the sight of reptiles I will not recommend this place.

Though this place is not so popular amongst locals and tourists, we highly recommend this place for nature/animal lovers for the crocodiles, tortoise and snakes they have. Caretakers and volunteers are so passionate about being here ... very informative and heart moving.

You can enjoy the speedy crawling of crocodiles, when you feed with live rats. All variety of crocodiles from all over the world are available with details. You can hold and feel a small crocodile on your hand with its mouth held tight.Attractive Snake park also attached near by, where live show for venom extraction is displayed.

Excellent location and wonderful staff, to guide you and learn facts of the species. If you plan a visit to spots in ECR, then do visit this place for a different experience and kids will surely enjoy this place, since my 2 year old son was very happy seeing this place.

Really a nice place to see the different type of Crocodile. Inside park is cool and nice. They have a small private Snake park as well (You need pay separate). If you are lucky enough, you can see how they collect the poison.

All crocodiles are in safe enclosures. And one can see LOTS of crocodiles. That way it's great fun. The place is not very clean. There is no place to sit. But everything is fine for the normal visitor. There is a HUGE crocodile at the most interior end of the park. It did not have a high wall - it... More

It is a large bank where captive breeding and research activities are conducted. Best time to visit is during feed time. There are tiny reptiles that you can hold and it is quite exciting
