Owner description: Originally started with a more serious conservation point of view, Crocodile Bank is now the weekend spot for a fascinating day of herpetology. For the kids, it’s a special treat to see large crocs spend the day languorously by the water. The Madras Crocodile Bank Trust and Centre for Herpetology also allows adults to volunteer and gain hands-on experience in the field.

This may be liked by kids and those who like Crocodiles. Too many crocodiles can be seen there, and there are other shows as well.

I got to see the snake poison being extracted from a cobar, or a viper (I guess). It was fun to be there with friends. We saw a huge crocodile as well.

Great outing... but not for the faint heart!!! if watching a lizard crawl on the wall gives you the creepy, this is definitely no a place for you to visit. the entry fee is nominal and there are extra charges for camera as well as mobile cameras. The entire place is well laid out, with different pens for different species.... More

A wonderful place to go both for adults and kids. The reptiles are seen very closely and they are provided their natural inhabitant. Venom Extraction show is also very nice

It is a wonderful place to visit... The closest probably that one should get to seeing the reptiles. Along with a variety of crocs, this place also boasts a huge variety of tortoises, porpoises, aligators, pythons and other snakes. They have about 150+ poisonous snakes (three varieties, Spectacle Cobra, Krait and Viper) in the pit area where snake handlers show... More

Interesting and educative place for people interested in knowing about these species which are among the largest reptiles currently present on the earth. This is a good collection of crocodiles from all over the Old World and a few alligators from the New World. Pen No. 11 of JAWS, the largest Salt water crocodile in Captivity in India is really... The crocodile park was a very good place to watch the crocodiles. The venom injecting of the snakes was scary. But however it could be better maintained.
