Having looked at numerous options for elephant safaris, nothing really felt right until we happened upon the Dera Amer website. Everything sounded just perfect, particularly the care and treatment of the elephants in their natural environment, so we booked an elephant safari with a night at the forest camp included. And it turned out to be one of the highlights... More

We left Jaipur and arrived in the countryside and were greeted by our elephants and their mahauts. Painting our elephants and then riding past the temple was truly a magical experience. The dinner was held in a secluded location just for our group. The whole experience was intimate and very relaxing.

Essentially not one for Trip Advisor Reviews but this is magical! Intimate time with the elephants, safari to your private tented camp - super luxurious tents. Trek in the wilderness surrounding the camp - served with much needed tea during our trek and then back to the camp for a hot shower (forest essential toilet products) followed by the most... More

Having spent a month travelling around northern India my partner and I are decided that this was the highlight of our trip. We spent an afternoon at Dera Amer and were taken very good care of. The staff at the facility did all they could to ensure our time with them was memorable. We spent 45 minutes or so bathing... More

Lovely couple of hours spent here where the children thoroughly enjoyed their time with the elephants. We had a pleasant ride around the area and saw some lovely deer. The lunch was fabulous as were the washroom facilities. An enjoyable afternoon.

We returned to Dera Amer after some years and enjoyed a 40 min elephant ride in the tranquil woods around the property. We then had breakfast in the gardens and enjoyed a thoroughly chillaxed morning. This is an authentic Indian experience with decent food, attentive service and hygenic. We had a long chat with the proprietor who is a wonderful... More

The three of us were welcomed and got to ride the elephants straight away, but the 'safari' was only around the site, and my mahout kept trying to get me to exchange foreign currency with him. The lunch was nice, but far too much food was put on (we were the only people in attendance) and there were more serving... More

At the onset we are extremely sorry that our temporary mahout troubled you by asking you to exchange the foreign currency. Obviously your agency had booked you only for the elephant trek with lunch,we would have been very happy to have you bathe the elephant if we were informed earlier, reference knowledge about the elephants-Ajitesh my nephew was there to take... It was nice to get away from the city for a couple of hours. The elephants seemed well trained and were very friendly. The ride itself was in the area around the resort. I saw several kind of birds but no mammals. Which was fine since I wasn't expecting any, but I still wouldn't use the word "Safari" to describe... More

I had a chance of visiting Dera Amer in 2010 when I was on my official fam trip to Jaipur. We met Mr Udaijit Singh who was very co-operative and organized such a great show around for us. Services, Food and the staffs there were excellent and very hospitable.. !! Visiting Dera Amer is one of a kind experience that... More

It is much better than to spent a couple of hours in an elephant farm than just doing the ride up to Amber Fort. We enjoyed the trip as a family and I can highly recommend this. I found other elephant farms in Jaipur, but this one had a connection to our hotel. All expectations were topped.
