Really good and interesting history. You cannot enter the hall but view it from the sides. Dont miss taking your pic reflecting from a mirror!

If you're knowledgeable enough, the intriguing reason why it was built still tickles my mind. Just try bringing a candle (or torch) and light it on late afternoon (or when light is dimmed) and see the spectacle I was talking... More

We loved this place and the architecture was magnificent. The place was great to enjoy for a full day as lot of history need to be known.

I thought this would be a palace of mirrrors or glass but it was a room which small little mirrors stuck in the wall - it was pretty but a little misleading.

This is a Mahal in the Amer Fort and not a separate attraction. In fact I would advice Tripadvisor to take this off here. The topmost point of Amer fort.

The Sheesh Mahal located inside the Amer fort, is a marvel in mirror art and a highlight of the Amer fort. The work is a mixture of Mughal and Hindu influences, with Hindu Motifs being used in a Mughal style. However the area is now cordoned off, probably due to vandalism, and one can enjoy it's beauty only from the... More

It was the queen's fancy to sleep on the roof of her palace & watch the stars. However in 15th century India women - even a Queen had to be "unseen" and could not be on a roof for all to see. The king however was not limited in his wish to please the queen & yet keep up the... More
