Beautifully made by Maharajas.

its a beautiful place made by the maharajas of Jaipur but better upkeep by the Government is required to restore it to its famed glory

The place is amazing. If you have a guide he will take a superb picture reflecting on one of the mirrors. That picture was the talking point of that trip

An exciting (& possibly the best) part of our visit to the Amber fort. Not be be missed. An illustration of amazing skill, design & craftsmanship. Thousands of mirror pieces on the walls and the ceiling. You can imagine that candle light would have made them sparkle and illuminate the entire room.

The entire idea of having this hall inside the fort was to keep yourself warm during winter. The main chamber used to be covered with shawls/curtains made of camel leather and then candles were lit inside this closed environment. When the heat goes up the glass heats and keeps the occupant warm.

We visited on march 20 2015 and were really sad that most of the Hall of mirrors was closed due to people vandalising it by scratching their name into the glass or chipping away pieces of mirror. You can walk all around the edge and peer in but you can no longer immerse yourself in the room and look up... More

I would definitely built one such in my house, space will not be a road block for me. The guide out here are innovative such that they click a pic facing camera in the mirrors and the pic come with a superb frame pic.

A mirrored-mosaic on the ceiling gives it a very royal look. It is located between the halls of ‘public’ and ‘private’ audience.. Very beautiful and arty.. A must visit

I would not really believe how talented the artisans must have been to carve out such a beauty. Shame on visitors who pluck out mirrors and destroy this piece of art. A must visit place in Jaipur.
