Our family of four (two teenagers) loved our two separate walks through the alleyways of Jaipur. Both Vipul and Akshat were interesting and interested about what we wanted to see. We liked leaving the beaten tourist track (and therefore not harassed by touts), feeling 'on the ground' in the old city, visiting businesses and being participants in the rhythm of... More

After a day-tour to amber, city palace and observatory, which was also arranged by Virasat, we met Vipul in the afternoon to take us for a heritage walk. All of our group of four were very impressed how knowledgeable and dedicated Vipul is. We have seen shops, temples, havelis and private houses we would have never found and seen without... More

We enjoyed our walking tour in old Jaipur with Akshat Mathur very much, it was just what we had been looking for, diving into Japiur real life. cross the streets, etc. We can only recommend.

we did this as part of a tour of Jaipur and it was well worth it, ducking in and out of the side streets , looking at the clothing, jewellery and food sellers, no hard sell , just a taste of the vibrant streets of Jaipur with guides who know them well, would recommend this tour

My partner and I did two walks back-to-back with Akshat of Virasat Experiences - the temples and havelis walk and the bazaars and cuisine walk. We thoroughly enjoyed both them particularly as Akshat clearly knew his stuff about the walled city in Jaipur. It was through him that we could access parts of the bazaar - for instance, we got... Knock knock? Who's there? A sucker is born every day. A sucker is born every day who? ME! As an experienced traveler I kick myself for being suckered into what I thought would be an interesting tour of the old city of Jaipur followed by an incredible dinner in a refurbished Haveli. For 2750 INR one would expect that to... More

Tour: Fair. There seems to be little thought or care put into the content of the tour and one really only begins to scratch the surface of the city during the tour. The guide ignored several of questions and at times seemed uninterested in really providing us with a truer deeper understanding of the city. But as tours go it... More

Thank you for your feedback . Our walking tours are an effort to show case the Jaipur city beyond tourist monuments . We agree that the old walled city is not the cleanest and facing neglect by the city municipal body. As the " Temples & Havelis of Old Jaipur " walking tour suggested , you visited some historic mansions... More

My friends and I went on the “Temples and Havelis Walking Tour” through parts of the old city in Jaipur. While the only haveli we entered was filled with garbage and stank of urine, we did see some interesting, little-known temples, and our guide was friendly and knowledgeable enough. I did enjoy the walk, but at 1250 INR ($23) per... More

Although we gave full information on the cost of the requested tour and which is also clearly mentioned in our website . So we can’t buy your feedback on duping you as you were well aware of the price of “walking tour” and “ haveli dinner” experience . Still we are willing make FULL REIMBURSEMENT for the dinner as we... More

Part 1: The Walk. This walk is called the Haveli and Temple walk. Only 1/2 of this is true. We only in fact saw 3 Havelis, and did not actually go inside any of them (including the one we ATE dinner "in"-more later). Beyond that though, we did see some lovely temples, and it was the evening so it was... More

They were college graduates, native to & very knowledgeable about their areas. Their English was easily understandable & they provided great insights in to the history, religions, culture, politics & anything else one... More
