Quite hard to find but fortunately my tuk tuk driver could ask some locals for the exact location. On arrival the place was shut despite it being after the advertised opening time, however, after waiting 15 minutes or so it did open. There was a very large range of shells over a few rooms, not an interactive museum but an... More

Along with Amber Fort, City Palace Museum, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar and other places in Jaipur one must pay a visit to the above museum. This museum showcases over 3,000 species of seashells belonging to different classes, super families and families in a very striking manner. Different shapes, colours and sizes need to be seen to be believed to appreciate... More

the crowd here is obviously sparse because of the nature of the museum, only seashells but if dont mind seashells, or if you have any least kind of fascination with these, this is the most fascinating place in jaipur.

As the name suggests, seashells are all there is. nothing more at all. Now if you can enjoy those, you must visit this museum. The variety and display is breathtaking. That too so far from sea! I don't know how they made this collection, but well made.

Incredible (a) that an exclusive seashells museum should exist so far away from sea, and (b) there should be over 3,000 different species of them. It is a riot of colours with all possible shapes and sizes. The smallest one has to be seen through a magnifying glass while the largest one-Giant Clam- is 1.5 metres long and weighs 150... More

Its an amazing collection of sea shells..starting from 5g to 150kg!!! So many types of sea-shells. Its very difficult to imagine how much hard work would have been put in to collect such a huge collection over a period of time. It is also very important to understand that preserving these sea shells also takes lot of efforts. Must visit... More

A lovely seashell museum in the middle of the desert. The collection is not large, but the seashells are from all over and are clearly carefully chosen and presented.

An amazing collection of about 3000 different types of seashells scientifically classified and displayed. Shell craft items at its best. Unimaginable in the heart of desert. Very soon Jaipur will not only be known for its forts and palaces but also for it "seashells".
