this temple is very rare. visited this temple only once and i was very impressed with the aura of this place , very powerful and energetic. built on a hill , the access is difficult , but once you are there then you feel the energy around the sun temple.

There weren’t many tourists when we visited the famous tourist spot and the temple was really peaceful. My sister’s an architect and I appreciated the live view and architectural structure more when she discussed about its history and what the attraction stood for. The temple was beautiful and serene. A peaceful place to unwind and not think about the busy... More

Surya temple is a beautiful temple which is quite unique. Though reaching the place was a task in itself, it was worth viewing this cleverly crafted masterpiece. The architecture is intriguing and the carvings on it are so delicate and beautiful. The surrounding area is not so populated and not much to see around it. It is great for a... More

The temple is a beautifully crafted masterpiece with an excellent architecture. The carvings on it are really interesting. The idol inside is itself an interesting masterpiece. We reached the temple after almost getting lost because it is really out of the way. There is not much to see here except the temple which is worth the search.

Away from the hustle bustle of jaipur city, this temple is a welcome break. Maybe because of the long walk, even tourists are not many there. That is the best part. You can sit there for a long time with nobody to disturb; silently contemplating your entire trip.

I'm nearly afraid to write about this very interesting place in case it becomes overrun with people like us, which would be a pity. I can only hope that the hike up will protect it and the fact that it is inaccessible to motor vehicles. The priest there were most welcoming and helpful and my young guide who brought me... More

This small temple is on the top of the hill. It's not big but it's really really nice. If I visit Jaipur again it's just because I want to visit this temple again. The holy man living there was really hospitable and told us a lot of interesting facts. On the day we visited it was quite warm but when... More

This small temple sits on top of a fairly steep 3-400 metre climb on the outskirts of Jaipur and when you first approach the bottom of the climb you can be excused for thinking you have made a mistake and ended up in a fairly bleak looking area. Immediately from getting out of our taxi I come face to face... More

About 2.5 km from the centre of Jaipur through the red gate of Surajpol Bazaar. The backside of the temple gives a panaromic view of the entire city. It is part of the Galta Temple complex (aka Monkey Temple) and there is a hiking route which joins the main pink stone buildings of the Temple of Galta to Surya Mandir.... More

About 2.5 km from the centre of Jaipur through the red gate of Surajpol Bazaar a 200m cobblestone path winds its way up to the small 18th Century Sun Temple with its great views of Jaipur and setting sun. It is part of the Galta Temple complex (aka Monkey Temple) and there is a hiking route which joins the main... More
