Long queue should not dishearten you. If you are with family and small kid you may want to offer your prayers from outside but if you can manage one should definitely visit this place. Please plan well in advance as you don't know how much time it may take.

One of the most visited devotional temple of Bombay where every league of people visit, trick to visit on tuesday is to go through gate from main gate which leads to darshan from 1st floor - you can prey & come out with in 10 min. on comparatively very heavy rush day.

Shree Siddhivinayak temple is one of the most popular Ganesha temple in India and is visited regular by one and all in Mumbai. The temple is a must visit when in Mumbai. Yes you do have to stand in a line and wait.....but once you enter the shrine, the feeling is beautiful..... Avoid the touts who hustle you,force you to buy prasad and promise a quick visit!

Probably one of the more famous temples, Siddhivinayak is a lively and bustling place. Right at the center of the city in Prabhadevi, the temple structure in itself isn't very great but throngs of devotees at all times vouch for its popularity. This is truly a deotional place and nothing else. The "shradha" of people is visible and it is quite difficult to get here during ganpati festival. Tuesdays also tend to be crowded here but it is worth all the time you spend to have darshan. God resides in the sanctum sanctorum and you can reach with special darshan or normal.... More
