One of mumbai's most highly priced residential area, the setting of the place if truly stunning.Though since the last few years of rapid developments,it has lost a sheer bit of its aesthetic appeal.

Stayed with friends here at Xmas time in a beautiful 16th floor apartment on Ridge road atop the hill; just a magnificent view of the sea and Nepean sea road to the West, Marine Drive's beautiful ' Queens necklace ' to the East and the forest of Parsee Towers of silence to the South near Hanging gardens. just a special... My family lives here and it has many nice features...Kamala Nehru park, Hanging Gardens, the beautifully tree laden Nepean Road and Mount Pleasant road and a nice sports complex at Priyadarshini Park at the foot of the hill. Some attractive new buildings and a few older ones dot Ridge road and Little Gibbs road and the vast wooded tract of... More

Since i live here, ( on Nepean Sea Rd at my late father's home or on Ridge rd where my 93 year old mum stays!) I thought i should review the area. Firstly, it is no longer beautiful...there is too much ugly high-rise to ensure that ! Secondly it is incredibly crowded and traffic is terrible some parts of the... More

I went searching for Naaz restaurant where my father would take me when we visited Mumbai in the old days. This Irani eatery benignly overlooked Bombay as ti was known then. The restaurant was literally amidst a garden atop Malabar hill, the highest point in South Mumbai lording it over all that it surveys. Sadly there was no Naaz anymore,... More

This hill at the other end of Marine Drive is occupied by modern buildings and old colonial mansions in which the rich and famous of Mumbai are living. If you ever get the chance to walk till the end of Marine Drive, then venture upwards the hill and follow the main road which will eventually take you to the Hanging... More

While in Mumbai i decided to pay a visit to the Malabar Hill one of the most upscale residential area & also home to many tourist attractions worth paying a visit. It is situated on a hillock where one sees mansions of many prominent celebrities, business tycoons, the Governor & chief minister of Maharashtra state. There I strolled unhindered by traffic past... More
