Malabar Hill is where some of the richest and perhaps oldest families of Bombay reside. It is home to a motely mix of apartments and bungalows. There's also a park (Hanging Gardens), a water-reservoir (Banganga) and some heavy-duty shopping (Warden Rd, Peddar Rd) within a short drive. Apt if you have an evening to spare, particularly during the rains.

Quite something! Home to tycoons and and Bollywood stars alike. The 27 storey two billion-dollar (estimates vary) tower of German design which dominates the skyline is home to one business magnate, his close family, and a huge retinue of servants. Spectacular views on a clear day it must have - but it was shrouded in smog when we visited! There... More

Spent most of my early childhood in the area and now take my kids there. Beautiful view, good parks especially for walks and lots of food & drink from street vendors. Malabar hill club is ok though much better since it's been refurbished. Little Gibbs restaurant is good for Indian food & very reasonable.

We visited with a touring party. We were allowed to walk and after a detailed discussion, we took photos and enjoyed the visit. Should be part of your scheduled trip.

Probably the most posh neighborhood in Mumbai you feel great the moment you step foot in this locality. Had also visited the Malabar hill club recently which was pretty decent. Overall a super cool locality.

An upmarket area of Mumbai. There are quite a few sights and places to visit. A trip to Malabar hill is usually included in the city tour offered by tonts at the Gateway. Do visit the jain Temple, Hanging gardens, and the Bangango Tank. The views from Malabar hill is spectacular.

Malabar Hills is a posh residential area of South Bombay. I have mentioned more than 3 hours of visiting time as there are multiple options to choose from and depending on your personal taste you can pick and choose. One way is to drive by in a taxi/cab and feel the difference and the other way is to explore and... More

Great place to take a stroll in the morning. Residence to the rich and famous. Has several green patches and gardens here. Amongst them is the Shoe garden and not far is Priyadarshini Park which has a beautiful view of the sea.
