Beach for weekend time pass

Do not expect too much. But if you have to go a beach around Mumbai - this is the one to be visited.

We visited Alibag in 1st week of July. This is off Season as its rainy season so no water sports and also you can not reach Alibag through Sea route. Also near by beaches like Kashid (which I guess is best and clean beach) is closed during rainy season. Murud Fort is also closed. So if you want to visit... More

This place is a must visit if you are looking for some clean beaches in and around mumbai. You can stay there for a day...good accommodation options are available...good food is available at relatively cheaper costs...and the beaches are really nice!

Alibaug is the facinating place to visit and is very close by Mumbai by a fery boat. The sunset at the Kihim beach is mesmerizing.

It's a lovely house, right on the beach. Perfect for a family holiday, especially with a car that can take you to Alibag, Murud or Kihim. A fort to climb nearby as well. The amenities are a bit iffy though. The AC in one bedroom was not working and neither was cable TV. The food too is very average (but... More

A bungalow by the beach... this place is a quiet weekend getaway. The idea is to sit down with your beer and book at the verandah and chill. On a secluded beach, few Kms away from main Alibuag town, this place is just on the beach. The approach road gets flooded during the rains but in the summers you can... More

Alibag is like a weekend getaway for mumbaikars… you can reach alibag by public transport ( Catamaran / Bus ) or by self-driven car. My preferred way is catamaran or self-driven car. To travel by catamaran you can board the same from Gate way of India. Tickets can be purchased from the ticket booth. If you taking the Catamaran, you... More

I have went to Alibag along with my roomies to enjoy weekend. I have commuted via road ways. The road is very bad in condition with single liner as a reason a definite of commuting time is required. There are around 4 to 5 Tolls on the way. The beach atmosphere is very good. I didnt find much things available... More
