Very good place to hangout on weekends. Near to Pune and Mumbai as well. There are many beaches around Alibag. I like Nagaon Beach in particular. It used to be less crowded but these days it crowded on weekends. Also the water sports on this beach are good. More

Alibaug is replendent with good beaches, hotels and holidays home. Its a gateway to to leisure weekends. But make sure that you either go to a good hotel with its own beach, or land on a good clean beach or else you will land up at a unclean, unhealthy and poor crowd beach wihch will take away all happiness. The place is hot & humid all year round due to its proximity to the sea. The beaches are over crowded and dirty. Barely has any decent hotels except for the Radission which has come up recently. No other attractions other than the beach to talk of. More

I just love Alibag... Few KM away from Mumbai can be reached by water & road also by rail. Road is the best medium to reach there. Alibag is attached with beautiful sea line thus many beautiful beaches are there. Alibag is also known as Mini Goa. Kashid beach is most famous beach in alibag. Alibag is not too expensive... More

Too crowded and dirty. Head to Kashid beach (about an hour drive) or Murud if you want some quiet and clean time. The fort is ok to be visited once (walking in the shallow water across the beach is a great experience) More
