Very good place to hangout on weekends. Near to Pune and Mumbai as well. There are many beaches around Alibag. I like Nagaon Beach in particular. It used to be less crowded but these days it crowded on weekends. Also the water sports on this beach are good. More

The place is hot & humid all year round due to its proximity to the sea. The beaches are over crowded and dirty. Barely has any decent hotels except for the Radission which has come up recently. No other attractions other than the beach to talk of. More

Too crowded and dirty. Head to Kashid beach (about an hour drive) or Murud if you want some quiet and clean time. The fort is ok to be visited once (walking in the shallow water across the beach is a great experience) More
