The Nehru Planetarium opened over 50 years ago, and this shows in various areas. To begin with we had a very rude presenter who explained the visitors about the galaxy. It is obvious that such places would have kids around, and obviously there would be noise in this case. Regarding the sky show, it started off with a very badly... More

When I was small this place used to be mesmerizing. We used to enjoy completely Air-conditioned service which looking at the heavenly bodies. Its exact'y still the same. I hope they can revamp it and make it world class. Nevertheless its still good. The telescope viewing is no thanks to Nehru. Thanks must go to private groups who out of... More

The planetarium is worth a visit for those interested in astronomy. The main solar system show is pretty popular so advance booking on weekends would be a good idea. The English version of the show much better.

Nehru planetarium is one of the exciting places to go ! Our experience was really good for the English show !! But When we saw the "Hindi show" It had lots of technical words(Jargons) and technical terms spoken in pure hindi only !! It is not soo understandable to the Local Crowd ! We being native hindi speakers had a... More

It is best to plan your visit well in advance. We booked the tickets online 2 days before our visit on 24th May. Although the Sky theatre is 500 seater, only about 130 tickets are available for online booking. When we booked our tickets online, we could only get them for the 12:00 noon show "Invaders of Mars" (Hindi). When... More
