Nehru planetarium - http://nehru-centre.org/planetarium/ is a good place for curious kids wanting to learn about planets and solar system. One can easily spend 2-3 hours including the "Discovery of India" and Art gallery nearby.

It is an interesting place for children eager to learn about planets. We along with family and friends went for the show Invaders of Mars. Although I pretty liked it but I guess my kids were too small to understand it and would advice parents to brief their kids a day before the type of show you planning to visit... More

There are different shows in various languages English, Hindi & Marathi. The last show is a 4.30 in the afternoon. The place is... More

Me and my family visited it earlier today. I was pleasantly surprised to see an efficiently run attraction, with clean washrooms. Spend some time checking your weight on the sun, Mars and Jupiter, listening to a ten minute lowdown on the planets in our solar system and a few other exhibits. The main show (Currently...Invaders Of Mars) is around thirty... More

After visiting to Mahalakshmi Temple, we decided to go to Nehru Planetarium. As my Nephew is of 8 years old, it is very useful and learning to him. They are conducting the shows of some 40-45 minutes for that we need to take the tickets per person. It has a big 3D dome shape auditorium, where they are showing the... More

A little bit of a strange looking building which has been described as a corncob, this building, known as the Nehru Centre, houses the planetarium, concert or movie auditorium and convention centre. The centre has expanded into a centre for scientific study of astronomy. Scientists and scholars regularly meet for lectures and discussions to discuss the various astronomical events. Special... The Dome show is the only thing that's worth mentioning in the planetarium. If I am not mistaken, this show has been going on for 30 years. They have made a few updates but overall it's very exciting for younger kids. It's worth visiting once for sure. I hope they improve the center and make it more exciting for young... More
