You need to click a pic here to remind yourself of the colonial architecture in Mumbai. The CST building/VT station is just around the corner and is a magnificent structure as well - great architecture.  There are loads of book stalls around the fountain area where you can buy books and mags at low cost.  More

The monument is worth a look. The area is too crowded though. A lot of bollywood movies, older ones, have been shot here. Mumbai's famous Fashion Street is a walk away. And so are a lot of eateries - street food as well as others. More

Too many hawkers around and in general very unclean for a monument of this stature. Should be better maintained. More
