Observed closely each building is a majestic stone structure with ornate windows, pillars & doors. You need to click a pic here to remind yourself of the colonial architecture in Mumbai. The CST building/VT station is just around the corner and is a magnificent structure as well - great architecture.
There are loads of book stalls around the fountain area where you can buy books and mags at low cost.

its architecture is really very dynamic....its exactly like the 1 u find in Europe n Italy...n 1 more thing what i like about it is that it is well maintained by d govt....i m seeing it from my school times n it has remained d same through out d years....

The monument is worth a look. The area is too crowded though. A lot of bollywood movies, older ones, have been shot here. Mumbai's famous Fashion Street is a walk away. And so are a lot of eateries - street food as well as others.

Too many hawkers around and in general very unclean for a monument of this stature. Should be better maintained.
