When you travel to somewhere like Mumbai you don't wish to be that tourist on the outside looking in. Despite the (perceived?!) chaos, this beautifully hectic city and its people are generally very good natured and welcoming. If you feel in any way cautious about getting out onto the streets and best market places you're Raconteur companion is a true... More

This was an amazing walk. After the tour, I can say now that I know about Mumbai more than my friends around (i.e. till they take this tour) and more than I ever knew in these 28 years here. This walk is not only recommended for all tourists but also highly recommended for all mumbai-iets too.

I went on the Churchgate Heritage walk on 17 December 2014. Having being born and living abroad (albeit of Indian origin), I had no idea about the history that enriches the lovely (and crazy) city of Mumbai! The walk gave me a wonderful insight into the history and evolution of the Churchgate architecture and landscape. My guide Nimish was very... More

Let's face it - Mumbai has for the most part, been on the sidelines as thousands of years of rich fascinating history was being played out in the rest of India. It took the seafaring Brits (and Portuguese before them) to realise it's, well, strategic importance... You just don't have as much starting source material as a Delhi - was... More

My guide, Dwayne was excellent and was very informative about the history & architecture of the area. He even provided water and energy bars, along with souvenir postcards. Highly recommended.

3 of us went on a Mumbai Heritage tour with Raconteur last Sunday. We covered the area around CST and Flora fountain. Our guide, Saurabh, was casual, yet knowledgeable. He is genuinely interested in the city's history and had a lot of unusual and amusing information. The walk was good fun. I would gladly recommend Racounteur's walk to anyone who... More

my husband and I went on Malabar Hill walk tour with Viraat, who was very informative. he shared history background, interesting facts about a historical building or personality and made it very enjoyable. he was friendly and was always ready to answer questions and seemed very passionate about Mumbai. he went back to 16th century history, which we found very... My husband and I did a walking tour of Bandra and learned so much about the history of this northern suburb, which was one of the islands that made up what is now Mumbai. It's an area with a lot of Portuguese influence, seen in the many Catholic churches and roadside crosses. Dwayne, our excellent guide, was very enthusiastic and... More

I had been for a Mumbai Heritage Walking tour last Sunday with my 7 year old son, and thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The tour guides were well versed with the history of the town, and presented the same in a very interesting manner to the kids. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to know the history and landmarks... More

Relatively new to the city and living in the suburbs owing to professional demands, I have always been fascinated by and drawn towards the island city. After several rounds of rendezvous on my own, I decided it was time to change the way I was exploring the very south of South Bombay because I was not really learning much yet... More
